there she was, getting ready for her first day practicing with her fellow.. members.

she never thought she'd be able to say that again.

it was weird, she thought to herself. now having to spend every minute of every day with the same group of people— the people that weren't her girls.

they weren't even girls, to add onto it.

maybe the change would be good for her, she thought. she'd become so used to practicing by herself, maybe this lineup would help her feel like she had people by her side again.

even if it was forced upon them, she could only hope.

hope wasn't enough, she quickly found out

hope wasn't enough, she quickly found out. Misaki was honestly hoping the process of getting to know the boys would be as easy as it'd been with the girls, but the first day spent around them was enough to let her know it'd take a lot of effort to get even a quarter of the way there.

the staff had allowed them to postpone their practice slots, knowing the girl knew close to nothing about the group of good friends she'd been placed with.

they also knew how hard it'd be for her to get to know them, so they wanted to try all they could to aid in making it easier for the six.

the girl sat on the floor of their newly assigned practice room, which just so happened to be beside CØSMIC's old one. what a great way to start.

a small, somewhat ungenuine smile sat on her lips as she waited for the boys to sit with her, fingers finding the small pluto chain clipped around her neck.

a few fifteen minutes passed before the six were all sat in a circle, the boys' shy eyes glancing at everything but the girl sat with them.

how badly she wished to start a conversation, yet she knew her barely regained korean wouldn't suffice. and so she waited for one of the boys to start.

the second eldest of the group boldly decided to take the initiative, somewhat confused at why he'd been so shy to speak in front of the four— he'd done it a countless amount of times.

that'd never included the girl, though.

"congratulations on being chosen, everyone," he spoke, softly clapping as a shy smile took over his features. the others followed, their hands sounding together as they just barely expressed their delight with the situation. Misaki had been soon to join in, despite her only being able to catch two of the words the unfamiliar boy had spoken.

"um.." the same boy continued, Misaki deciding to actually look at the male this time.
"i'll start with our introductions,

i'm Choi SooBin, born in 2000, it's nice to meet you," he said, slightly bowing at the boys, head holding it's downward position longer as it pointed towards the girl.

she softly grinned, the corners of her mouth being pulled upwards as she returned the gesture. something about the name seemed so familiar to her.

the boy sat next to him continued, someone Misaki faintly remembered seeing around before being placed in the debut lineup.
"ah, hello, i think i'm the oldest here," the boy softly chuckled, a sound which warmed the inside of Misaki's heart.

"i'm Choi YeonJun, born in 1999. take care of me well," huh, another choi. where else has this happened before?

Misaki once again returned the boy's formal greetings once they'd came to her, her mind slowly growing more foggy as she tried to think of why their names sounded so familiar.

the next boy softly cleared his throat, nervous eyes finally looking up to look at the people sat in on either side of him. "i think i'm the youngest here? hello, i'm.. Kai Kamal Huening, born in Hawai'i in 2002, it's nice to meet you,"

Misaki's eyes lit up at the realization that someone else may actually be able to communicate with her, the girl taking the initiative in softly clapping for the boy and bowing her head.

"oh~ Hawai'i! do you speak English, then?" the boy introduced as YeonJun spoke, eyes also holding the sparkle found in Misaki's own.

"a little bit, i moved around and picked up other languages," the boy explained, Misaki finding the way he continuously nodded his head endearing.

"hi, i'm also a maknae, Kang TaeHyun, born in 2002, it's nice to meet you all," the big-eyed boy said, his appearance threatening to melt Misaki's heart.

he was just so cute.

but something was so familiar, yet again. what is it?

the boy sat next to her opened his mouth— and it only took a second for Misaki to finally piece it all together

the boy sat next to her opened his mouth— and it only took a second for Misaki to finally piece it all together.

"hi, i'm Choi BeomGyu, born in 2001!"

the tone in which he so naturally spoke, the way his semi-wavy hair twisted around his forehead, slightly blocking the front of his view. his mannerisms she'd observed the entire time, the way his eyes softened when he'd listen to the others speak, even for just a moment.

Choi Beom Gyu.

Choi Bom I.

Choi Soo Bin.

Choi Soo Jin.

Choi Yeon Jun.

Choi Yeo Jin.

Kang Tae Hyun.

Kang Tae Hee.
