who was that?

Misaki felt like he'd cast a spell on her — it'd been years since they'd last seen eachother, how in the world could she still feel so attached to the boy?

of course, they'd grown up together.. maybe that does something to your brain and.. you know.. places a spell on you.

whatever this sort of magic was, Misaki didn't try and fight it.

she was just happy to have a piece of home in her new home — and that piece was Yoshinori.

the pair we're currently walking down a secluded street, hand in hand as they'd done back home in Kobe. it was as if nothing had changed — he'd just gotten taller.

almost as tall as she was — but he fought against that idea. how could he let this girl be taller than him? no way.

Misaki laughed at Yoshinori's impersonation of a character decal they'd just walked past, and he swore he'd just heard an angel sing.

there was something about this new Ono. of course, maybe it was the years and living in a new environment with new people -- boys, to exact -- that'd caught up to her and the way she used to be.. but.. no, there's something else.

whatever it was, Yoshi liked. there was an invisible string connecting them right now, at least that's what he felt.

minutes passed and Yoshi finally figured out what it was.

his feelings for the girl had never gone away.

no matter the distance, no matter the time spent away from eachother — even the fact that Misaki had completely forgotten about him for a few years, Yoshinori felt as if this time with the girl was his go ahead from the universe for the thing he'd been waiting for since they were three years old back home.

"no, i don't think that would be very smart, but you could always tr-" Misaki was in the middle of talking the boy out of yet another one of his dumb prank ideas to pull on his younger members, when her world stopped,

in a good way.

the blonde haired boy was closer than he'd ever been to her at the moment — maybe too close?

no. definitely not too close.

Misaki's cheeks filled with the colour pink, and her stomach turned into a habitat for every type of butterfly to exist.

Yoshinori stayed in this spot for a while, simply maintaining eye contact with the girl standing in front of him, trying to sense any sort of discomfort from her end.

her eyes trailing down his face, around every one of his features she always complimented down to his lips were a sure enough sign he could do what he wanted to do — but would he be the Kanemoto she adored so grateful if he didn't ask first?

"..can i kiss you, Miki? is that okay with you?"

she'd known the question was coming — he was an open book in front of her gaze. it'd be incorrect for her to say it didn't still surprise her, though. "mhm." she hummed, still maintaining eye contact.

"i need you to use your words, Miki."

"yes, Nori." she somewhat whispered, wanting so desperately for him to make his move once and for all.

and she woke up. she opened her eyes, just to see she was in her shared room with BeomGyu.

why had she dreamed that boy?

who was that?
