the week felt like it was never going to end. Mia had done everything imaginable — she'd cleaned Odi's cage. both bathrooms. gag. every crevice and corner of the kitchen. BeomGyu's side of the room. double gag.

the week off the team had so graciously been gifted as a reward for their months of endless hard work was nice in theory, and in real life for the boys whose families were all in Korea, only a train ride away.

but for Mia, all this week had brought was an empty home, nothing to do, and loads of boredom.

it was as if he heard her thoughts, and five minutes into dissociating for the third time that hour – Mia received a call.

sohn boy is calling...

a small smile appeared on her features — Eric had practically gone M.I.A (hehe get it?) from the entire world ever since his hiatus from all group activities was announced. Misaki, of course, was one of the few people he'd been keeping constant communication with.

she picked up the phone, joining the facetime call.

"hello~" she dragged out, smiling again when the boy's face appeared on her screen.

"hello~" he mimicked her accent, arguably one of his favourite things about the Ono girl.

"how are you?" she started with her usual check-in, something else he adored about her.

"i'm okay~ just got done checking twitter.. TheB's really seem to miss me.. haha,"

"of course they'd miss their energy boy Eric, it's been months since they've heard from you."

"yea.. but it's for the best for now, right?"

"right." she paused for a moment, unconsciously scanning the boy's face to check for any signs of sadness. "so, why'd you call?"

"what? i can't just randomly call my favorite girl?"

she chuckled a bit, accustomed to his shameless flirting. "sure.. but i can tell there's something more to just checking in."

"scary how you know me so well, Ono." he smiled, still looking at the girl on his screen. "i wanted to check in and see how you were doing, for real."

"i'm fine.. 'bit lonely since the boys aren't here, and i've already done everything possible in this house, so pretty bored." she let out a giggle after responding.

Eric gave her an apologetic look. "i'm sorry. it must suck not being able to go out."

Mia could only shrug. "i'm used to it, i guess. a week-long trip to Vancouver isn't really.. possible? or.. reasonable? i'd want to be there much longer, but with everything coming up.. i dunno,"

"you wanna go somewhere?"

"hm?.. when?"

"now."

"but aren't you-"

"i came back yesterday. i've been sleeping all day, that's why i didn't tell you. the members told me to come for a while, but they're busy at work right now. since we're both free and bored out of our minds.. why not go out?"

"you're my little angel, E, you know that right?"

"don't tell Soobin or he'll beat my ass."
