Useless Cries

Donatello woke up, vision blurry from being asleep for so long. He lifted himself into a sitting position, wincing as he moved his neck. He placed a hand on it, feeling the collar contraption still attached. He sighed, looking around. He knew they hadn't taken the device off of him. Nor the muzzle. It was awkward on his face, as it was more meant for canines instead of walking-talking mutant turtles.

He realized they had taken his knee and elbow pads, though. He scowled at the thought. By now they were probably discarded, no use in asking for them now. Then he realized, his mask was gone too. Damnit- I hate these people. Where am I. . ? Stupid question I must be in some sort of reinforced facility so I don't escape. He thought, leaning against the wall and holding his head between his hands.

His back ached, that fall may not have been high enough to do any damage physically, the impact of him colliding with the concrete had sent a shock like sensation up his spine. That sensation caused his back to hurt, as if he was just on a mission. He grunted, rubbing his temples. Stress started to overwhelm him, and he could most definitely feel a migraine coming on.

Damnit, Why did I have to follow splinters orders not to hurt people? Maybe I wouldn't be in this situation if I hadn't.
. . .
But I did hurt someone- Holy shit- I- I bit someone! Why the hell did I bite someone?!
The terrapin's thoughts began to run rampant in his head, only overwhelming him more. He needed to get out. He needed to get away, he needed to calm down and get his mind off of things.

So that's just what he did. He began to attempt an escape. He formulated a plan, carefully examining his situation. If he broke out he would most likely be taken down easily due to his weak state. If he stayed he would most definitely be taken away to be experimented on. He didn't know when or if they had called in any government workers or not. He didn't want that chance to linger.

He stood up, legs wobbling beneath his weight as he stepped forward. He was weaker than he thought. Had they tranquillized him? Was that why he couldn't remember much after Casey tackled April?
. . . .
Casey.
Fuck- What if they got Casey in trouble? Or April did something? What did he mean by 'it would bring back bad-'
Oh.
If it was what he was thinking, he was screwed when he escaped. April would surely come after him.
He shook the thought, attempting to figure out a way to unlock his cell.

Shit. He can't figure out the lock. It must've been custom made. He pulled his hand back into the cell, sighing and rubbing his head again in stress. Suddenly he realized, there was no escape.
He's stuck. Forced to wait for his inevitable demise by the hands of the government. Why did he have to be a mutant? A nonhuman creature? A monster. He leaned against the wall again, wrapping his arms around himself and tearing up as he pulled his knees close to him.

He's stuck. With no way out this time. No one knows where he is. No one but Casey having a clue what happened. Only him, his thoughts, and an uncomfortably small cell. He felt claustrophobic. It didn't help at all while he was overwhelmed. He hid his face in his knees, covering his neck with his hands.

He hoped, he desperately hoped, that there was a slim chance someone would come to his aid. He wasn't sure if he could stay in here much longer without freaking out from stress. He didn't realize, but he was shaking. Tears streamed down his face as he hid himself in his knees, burying himself in his thoughts.

"And then they drove off with him- I couldn't do anything- I . . ." Casey couldn't finish, so he shakily exhaled a breath he had been holding since he began his rant.
"That doesn't sound like a normal animal control. . . They wouldn't be that calm if they were handling a mutant. Especially one that could very easily take them down. Unless-" Leo turned to look behind him, his brothers quickly realizing what he meant.
"No- did they?" Raph was in disbelief.
"What? Tell me-" Casey began.
"Those definitely weren't normal animal control workers. Casey, those were mutant trappers. The fact they were so calm, the things they said, there's no way they aren't. They lied about you visiting. They aren't taking him to the shelter. They're taking him to be-"
"No! No stop dude! Nuh-uh! No way! Ain't no way they're gonna kill him." Casey suddenly said, shutting down the conversation and standing.
