So I have decided to continue this story, since you all seem to like it quite a bit. Although it will be much slower now that the climax is finished. Please give me ideas you'd like to see of other possible fics and I might consider writing them! (Most likely will if it's an interesting one. I love writing sm) it can be oneshots, long stories, short stories. Just be mindful that I do not tolerate proships or T-cest. It can be jonatello, rasey, or even just fics centered around specific characters. Also I realized that I've been calling Raph's pet spike and I meant chompy💀 please excuse that I'll edit it sometime later

Leo sighed, knocking on the door to the laboratory. It had been three days. The genius hadn't so much as stepped foot outside of the lab for three. Days. He was beginning to get worried about the younger's health.

"Donatello? May I come in?" He asked calmly.

No response.

"Donnie?" He tried again, receiving the same thing. He sighed, turning to walk away before hearing faint rustling from the lab. Soon followed by some heavy-sounding footsteps. He turned around, watching the lab open. Only to reveal a very drowsy, dirty Donnie. "Donatello? May I speak with you?"
The scientist hesitated, looking to the side for a few moments before sighing and stepping to the side.
The older walked in, standing a few paces away from the door and facing the younger.
Donnie closed said door, walking over to his chair and dropping down onto the seat, scooting closer to the desk and continuing to type on his computer. "What did you need?" He asked flatly.
"Donnie, are you alright?"
The purple clad turtle paused for a few moments, before blinking and shaking his head in dismissal. "I am fine, Leo. Why do you ask?"

"You aren't eating again. And you aren't sleeping."
"How do you know? Are you spying on me or something?" He snapped defensively.
"No! No, I'm not spying. It's just that none of us have seen you outside the lab in three whole days, and whenever we walk past the lab the light is always on. We can see it through the cracks in the door."
Damnit Donnie!
"Listen, I heard what you said when you first locked yourself in the lab three days ago."
"What do you mean?"
"You were screaming at yourself. . . Do you not remember?"
"But how- No, no I wasn't. You must've been hearing things." He went back to typing.
Leo sighed, walking to the desk and pulling the stool over. He sat down, resting a hand on the genius's shoulder. "Donnie, you know you can talk to me, right?"

"Yeah, whatever. Was there a point you were trying to make? I need to get back to my work."
"That's just it, you're overworking yourself again. Casey and Raph have been awake for two days now, and they were wondering about you. I had to tell them you were just either napping or out on the surface getting materials. Mikey's blaming himself for the mess and sensei is beginning to worry as well." He sighed.
"And you?"
"What?"
"What about you? Were you just brushing it off again or were you eavesdropping? Because you seem to show signs of eavesdropping based on these questions and accusations. False accusations if you will. And yet you refused to speak to me sooner."
"I assure you, Donnie. I wasn't eavesdropping. I was just making sure you were okay in here every once in a while. I don't want you getting sick like-"
"Like all of the other times? Is that what you were going to say?" He barked.
"Well-"

"Figured, not like you would have cared much, anyway. Just like every other time. Why do you care so much now? What changed? Hm? Because it seems to me like you are just doing it so Raph and Casey don't get all the credit from sensei."
"No! I'm not doing it for that reason! Nothing changed!"
"Ah, so you don't care, as per usual. Good to know. Well, thank you for your time, Leonardo. Please escort yourself out." He gestured to the door, going back to typing.
"Donnie- It's not like that- I do care- I just never know how to show it in a way that doesn't sound too scripted."
"I said please leave, Leonardo. It does not matter. And I'm sure Casey and Raph's bandages need to be changed anyways. Don't forget to sanitize the wounds." He stated.
The leader in blue just sighed, walking over to the medicine shelf and picking out the needed supplies for the bandage changes. He went to leave, before pausing as something caught his eye.
