One Random Message

Am I pregnant?

    Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months and finally it had turned into a year. Casey and I had finally seen each other for a year.
Kaylee had a check up at her doctors office. Casey went with me. He never let me go alone to any appointment.
" Where do you want to go for our anniversary?" He asked.
" Anywhere you want to take me." I replied
He chuckled and shook his head.

He took me to the most romantic restaurant in our little town.
" Look how beautiful you are." He said as he showed me a picture he snuck of me in the restaurant. I could feel myself blushing.
" Desiree Richmond, will you marry me?"
WHAT IS HAPPENING. He just asked me to marry him. We have only been dating for 1 year. " Yes!" I replied without any hesitation! The ring was beautiful. Im so in love with this man. I can't believe Im going to marry the love of my life! The rest of the night was history.

We got married 6 months later. His bond with Kaylee grew more and more. His custody papers with his daughter were plain and simple. Casey gets her on the weekends. I wish we had more time with her. Kaylee and her get along great.

We were sitting in my moms kitchen on Thanksgiving. " Does Kaylee's father have any rights to her at all?" Casey asked.
I looked at him confused. Why would he bring this up? Right here on thanksgiving.
"No he doesn't. He had an option to file for a DNA test after she was born so he could have some rights. I told myself that if he's willing to do that then maybe he will stay in her life. I waited and waited but he never did it." I replied as I placed my head on his chest.
" I'm not rushing anything. I have been thinking that maybe 5 years down the road I could adopt her."
That would be crazy is Casey adopted Kaylee.
" I will put some thought into it." I replied as I winked and patted his back.
He gave me a smile and we all sat down to eat. As I'm eating my food I notice that the turkey looked odd. Then, it hit me. The feeling of nausea. The worst feeling in the world. I took off to the bathroom.
" Are you okay sweetheart?" Cody says as he follows me and stands by the door.
As I'm washing my face I reply " Yes, it just randomly hit me."
I heard a chuckle coming from the door
" Casey are you laughing at me?"
" No honey, I'm laughing because it sounds like we might be growing our family." He replied in a happy tone.
Could I be pregnant? It is a definite possibility. A bit if excitement hit me. The type of excitement that makes you want to laugh uncontrollably and day dream about your future.

That night we went to the store to grab a test. We even grabbed three because we couldn't contain our happiness. We paid for them then practically ran out of the door to rush home and take them.
We pulled in the driveway of our home. Our girls had fell asleep on the car ride home.
Casey looked at me I'm the eyes and said " No matter what these test say I will never leave your side."
I looked at him with pure love and replied " come on! Let's go see if we're growing our family!"
I jumped out of the car and ran to the bathroom. He grabbed the girls out of their car seat and was following right behind me.
I shut the bathroom door behind me. Immediately all of the flashbacks start to flood in. I remember when I locked Cody out of the bathroom when I took my first pregnancy test.
I opened the door and called for Casey.
" hold on honey I'm putting the girls in their bed"
I love a man that tucks his kids into bed.
" Okay babe." I yelled back.

Casey came in the bathroom a few minutes later.
" I wanted you to come in here with me while I take them."
" are you sure? I thought you might want to be alone." He replied
" I don't want to spend a moment like this without you." I said as I go to kiss his cheek.
He smiles and I take the test. It was a bit awkward but it will definitely be something to talk about in the future. I place the test down on the counter. This time I cover it with the package because I want to be surprised when I walk back in.
3 minutes passed.
" I want you to check the test ." I said to Casey
" Are you sure? You don't want to come with me?" He replied with confusion in his face.
" Yes I want you to look at it first while I get a water out of the kitchen."
Casey walked into the bathroom. I walked over to the kitchen counter.
Everything went silent.
" Is everything okay?" I yelled from the kitchen
I didn't hear a response.
"Case-" I didn't even get to finish my sentence when I saw him walk out of the bathroom looking at the test.
He looked up at me and said
" We are going to have a baby!"
This is it! I was finally going to have a baby with someone who actually wants to be here.
Casey walked into the kitchen and grabbed me. He hugged me tighter than he ever has. He picks me up and sits me on the counter. His eyes are looking deeply into mine as we both smile from ear to ear.
" I love you so much." He says as I'm wiping tears away from his eyes.
" I love you even more." I replied.

I call and make an appointment for my very first appointment for the new baby..
