Lance X Reader
Part 1-3

You have been dancing your whole life. Dance was your life without dance you wouldn't know who you were. You lived for the dance competition. It was fun to dance and get judged. You danced in the hip hop and freestyle category. Your team was also very good. All of you have been dancing together for over four years. You walk into the studio early so you can practice your solo. You're dancing to your favorite song.

You finish your dance when you hear clapping. "Omg, when did y'all get here," you ask. "I don't know but that solo looks amazing for the competition in three weeks," Shiro said. "Thanks, I still need to do a few tweaks but other than that it will be perfect," you add. "We need to run the group dance and the trio this week," you said. "Yes but we have to wait for Kolivan to get here and our coach," Keith added. "Coran will forever be late," you add. Kolivan walks through the door and a few minutes later Coran gets there.

"Okay everyone let's get this show on the road," Coran says. You guys start to dance to your group's dance music. Which are Dance Monkey by Tones and I. You and Keith are in the middle while Shiro and Kolivan are behind you. You start dancing to the song. There were a few lifts you were involved in. All of the lifts were going great until it got to you and Kolivan. This lift was harder to do, but he was the strongest. You have fallen during a lift, but you have been caught. All of that was about to change.

Kolivan lifts you until you hear a crack. You fall crashing to the ground on your ankle. You look up to see Kolivan gripping his elbow. You try to get up but can't you fall and Keith helps steady you. "What happened Kolivan," you asked. "I do not know. The lift was going great then my elbow gave out and I heard a crack," he replied holding his elbow. "Are you okay Y/N," Shiro asks. "Yes, I am okay. I just fell on my ankle, but I will be okay. I just need to rest for a bit," you said. The phone rang and Coran walked over to it and answered it.

Shiro called urgent care for Kolivan, and Keith got you some ice. Coran walked over to your group just as Shiro got off the phone. "Okay, that was the competition. Letting us know if there is a new category in the competition. It is where two dance groups combine into one to compete. They find out what dance groups are the best. We have already been paired with a group. We are paired with Dance Tech," Coran said.

"You're kidding me right," you ask. Keith, Kolivan, and Shiro all look at you. "I know Y/N I asked if we could change but they say they couldn't," Coran added. "Wait what is going on," Keith asked. "Y/N was on that team but their coach didn't like her so she kicked her off. That is when she started to dance with us," Coran said. "They kicked you off why," Shiro asked. "There was a rumor going around that I was sleeping with her husband. Which was not true and the husband denied it. She didn't believe us so she kicked me off. She also didn't like the chemistry I had with their main dancer," you said. "I don't know if they still have the same coach or not they were having a legal battle with her," Coran.

"I hope not I can't be in the same room with that woman and live," you add. "Okay since accidents happen we will take the day off and see how everyone is doing tomorrow," Coran said. You all got your things and Keith helps you to your car. Shiro takes Kolivan to urgent care. You drive to Ride Aid to get some pain medicine. You limp into the store and the medicine aisle. You grab the meds you need. You accidentally knock one of the bottles on the ground.

You were struggling to pick it up when someone grabbed it. You look up and see a guy standing in front of you. "Y/N I can't believe it's you. It's been so long," the guy said. "Hello Lance, funny seeing you here," you said. "So we are paired together for the competition in three weeks," he added. You nod, "hey I have a question. Do you guys still have the same coach?" "No we don't, she quit two years ago, we were going to ask if you wanted to come back, but we saw how happy you were with this new group," Lance said. "That's good I would probably not come if she was there," you added.

"Ya she lost the legal battle between us so she is no longer allowed to coach," Lance said. "Well, I must be getting home. It was nice to see you, Lance," you said as you limp towards the checkout. "Hey do you need help," Lance offered. You shook your head no. You limp to the checkout. You head out the door when you trip and fall. Lance runs over to you and helps you up. "Y/N please let me help me," Lance said, helping you to your feet. "Lance it's fine I got it," you replied. Lance picks you up bridal style.

"Lance put me down, I can walk," you said. "Ya well you proved to me you can't," Lance said. Lance got you to your car and helped you inside. "Thank you, Lance, I am sure we will see each other again soon," you said. He smiled and walked off to his car. You got home and limped inside. You text the group chat asking if Kolivan is okay. You fall asleep before you can read the response. You wake up the next morning and read the group chat. Kolivan is fine, nothing broken or sprained. He popped his arm out of place. He will be good to go in two days. Your group still decided to practice the trio and solos for the next two days. Your ankle was in pain but you danced through it.

"Okay everyone listen up," Coran said. Everyone walks over to him. "Dance Tech will be coming in for the next two weeks to work on our group dance," Coran said. "Also Y/N they do not have the same coach as when you were there," Coran added. You nod even though you already knew that. "Y/N the costume designer needs you to try on costumes tomorrow morning. Along with the rest of you. Dance Tech will be coming in after lunch today," Coran added. Keith got you some ice for your ankle and Kolivan shoulder/elbow. You guys talked for the rest of the practice before lunch.

"I wonder how good Dance Tech is," Shiro asked. "When I was there we were ranked 3rd in the state. After I left they dropped to 5th I think but they have had a comeback since," you explained. "Well, they seem to be good then. Glad we got paired with them," Keith said. "They are nice except for their old coach who was not," you added.
