Lance X Reader
Part 3-3

Timeskip: It is the day of the competition. You were excited but also nervous. You knew all of your dances would go well. You were worried about the dance with Dance Tech. You and Lance are supposed to kiss, but you haven't kissed yet. You were getting nervous enough you started to pace around the dressing room. "Y/N your pacing again," Shiro said. "I know, I am just nervous," you reply. "Y/N you are the best dancer, you will do great," Kolivan added. "I am only worried about the dance with Dance Tech," you said. "Why? Because you have to kiss Lance," Keith said. With those words, you froze. They didn't know you were going to kiss.

"How did you know that," you ask. "I heard Lance talking to his team about it," Keith replied. You were frustrated knowing everyone expects you guys to kiss. You need to clear your head before you accidentally snap at your team. You walk out of the dressing room without saying a word. "Should one of us go after her," Kolivan asked. "No, she needs to clear her head. She is frustrated and she doesn't want to accidentally snap at us," Shiro replied. You keep walking when you hear familiar voices. You saw a sign that said Dance Tech. You breathe and walk past the open door. You continue walking and you hear footsteps behind you. "Y/N where are you going," a voice behind you said. You keep walking ignoring the voice. You hit a dead end and you dread it. You turn around to see Lance. You try to walk past him but he pushes you against the wall.

"Y/N what is wrong? Why are you ignoring me? Did I do something," Lance asked, still pinning you to the wall. You don't look him in the eyes and you try to get away. He holds you even tighter to the wall, but not to the point where it is painful. Lance moves your chin so face you. He sees tears in your eyes and his heart melts. "Y/N what is wrong," he asks softly. "W..why did y..you tell everyone w..we were supposed t..to kiss," you stuttered out as tears fell down your face. "I don't know, I guess I was just excited," Lance said embarrassed. "Wait, you're excited," you ask, confused. "Yes, why wouldn't I be? I have been waiting for a chance to kiss you," Lance continued. "Why me? Even after all of the rumors that went around I could ruin your reputation," you replied.

Lance leans down and kisses you softly. "I do not care if you ruin my reputation. I like you Y/N I have for a while. I liked you even though the rumors. I thought you didn't like me so I didn't say anything," Lance said. You smiled slightly and said, "I liked you too but when the rumors started I gave up because I thought you would never like anyone like me." Lance gives you a hug which was startling. You hug him back feeling a new embrace. You and Lance have hugged many times but this felt different. Lance breaks away and looks at you. "You ready for this competition," he says. "I am ready," you reply. Lance kisses you one more time before you both walk back to your dressing rooms. Lance walks into him and you walk to yours. You open the door, and Shiro, Keith, and Kolivan are smiling at you. You smile back as you get back to doing your makeup.

You finish your makeup and get into your solo costume and start to warm up. Coran walks in, "Y/N you are on in 10." You nod to him and keep warming up. After about three minutes you start to head to the stage. You walk past Dance Tech and Lance is standing in the doorway. He smiles at you and your smile back. You walk backstage and one dancer is before you. You are in the wing marking your dance when the other finishes. You take a deep breath as they call your name. You walk out on the stage and get set. The music starts and you perform the best you can. You look into the auditorium and see Lance sitting with your team. You smile even bigger as you perform. The song ends and you walk off the stage.

You practically have to run back to your dressing room to get ready for your trio. You run past Dance Tech's dressing room. Lance is getting ready for their group dance. You stand in the doorway waiting for him to notice. "Lance, you have a visitor," Pidge said. Lance turns around and sees you. He walks over to you. You give him a quick kiss on his lips as you run off to your dressing room. You quickly get ready for your trio. You, Keith, and Shiro start to warm up your trio. You successfully do the two lifts and the costume switch. You guys are excited but become nervous in the wings. The group before us was really good. You were nervous. Your names were called and you walked out off the stage waiting for them to start. The music starts and everything is going great. The lift you do with Shiro was not done to perfection. There was a mess up but it didn't look like it.

The costume change went well and the dress did not get stuck, which was a worry. The song ended and you were having trouble breathing. You were starting to hyperventilate because you could not breathe. You got off the stage and halfway back to your dressing room before you started to cough badly. You could not stop coughing. Then you heard panicked voices. "Y/N are you okay," the voices asked. Shiro puts his hand on your shoulder and Lance kneels in front of you. You kept coughing not knowing what to do. Lance looked at your neck and it looked like you were having an allergic reaction. "Y/N I know this is going to sound weird but take off the top of your uniform," Lance said. You look at him confused but follow what he says. Your whole neck is red like a rash. "Y/N what happened to your neck," Shiro asked concerned.

"I don't know," you reply. "She is having an allergic reaction to the fabric," Lance added. "I have worn this fabric before," you added. "Was it made by the same company," Shiro asked. You nodded no. They got you back to the dressing room so you could get ready for the two group dances. The rash had gone down enough that you could breathe normally. you were still a little shaken up by this experience you were not sure how the group dance would go. You all started to warm up and practice. You and Kolivan have not done the lift once since you both were injured which people know of. You and he planned to surprise everyone with the lift. You have been practicing it for a while without anyone knowing.

The group dance is finally up and you are all excited. All of you walk out onto the stage and wait for the music. Each lift goes well then for the surprise lift. Kolivan and you do the lift perfectly. This kind of catches the other two off guard but they continue to dance. The song ends and y'all exit the stage. You give Kolivan a big hug, so happy the lift went well. "When did y'all have time to do that," Keith asked. "We wanted to surprise everyone with it since we haven't done it in a while," you reply. The rest of you meet at Dance Tech's dressing room to finish getting ready for the group dance. You are wearing a two-piece dress that is your F/C. The dress is a high-to-low dress (the dress is shorter in the front than the back). The group starts to practice the dance. "Everyone, yall are on stage in 5," Allura says.

Everyone heads to the wing you and Lance are on opposite sides of the stage. Your name is called; you and Lance both walk out on stage. The music starts and everything is perfect. The kissing part comes up and it comes naturally to you two. The song ends with Lance holding you in a dip. Lance whispers, "Y/N do you want to be my girlfriend." You were caught off guard but replied, "yes." Everyone starts clapping and you walk off the stage. It is time for awards. Your solo places first and you stand proud. Your trio places second which you know you deserve. Shiro goes up for the award. Your normal group places first and everyone is excited to stand there proud. Lastly, your combined group dance gets a perfect score of 300. Everyone is ecstatic. You and Lance both hold the award in the middle.
