Anniversary

Today marks the day that me and Xavier have been together for 3 years. Lately things have been rocky between us because his focus was always on Wednesday Addams.

We were supposed to go out for lunch earlier but he cancelled because Wednesday needed his help in something. I thought he would cancel on her  since today is our anniversary but nope ! He told me that we could do dinner instead. So here I am, on my balcony with a nice candle lit dinner behind me, waiting on Xavier to come.

Dinner. We were supposed to go out to dinner tonight. Remember.

Shit I forgot about that. Can we raincheck ?
Wednesday and I are still working.

I couldn't believe what I was staring at. He forgot! I go on Life360 and check his location. I see that he is at weathervane. I call up Enid and tell her that Ajax and her can have a candle lit dinner tonight so it doesn't go to waste. "OH MY GOODNESS ! THANK YOU SO MUCH YN, WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT!" Enid screams through the phone. I wait a good 10 minutes before I hear a knock on my door. I open it to find Ajax and Enid. " Thanks again yn for this" "yeah thank you yn." Enid and Ajax tell me. "Its a pleasure! Okay I need to go now, have fun !" I say.

Now Enid and I are very close and she already knows about my situation with Xavier. But I didn't tell her that this was supposed to be a nice dinner for me and Xavier since I find it embarrassing for getting stood up. But I'm pretty sure she knew since she gave me a a tight hug and gave me a pity look.

I quickly leave Nevermore and head to the coffee shop. In the window I see them. Xavier smiling and looking at her. He had his hair half up and half down. Wednesday had the deadpan look on her face (as always). As soon as I walk in Xavier makes eye contact with me. I walk over to the table they were at. "Yn what are you doing here ?" "We need to talk Xavier". I say and by the tone if my voice, he already knew I was mad. I turn and walk out before he can say anything else.

He gets up quickly and follows me outside. " Look yn I'm sorry about dinner-" " How would you feel if I ditched you for another guy. That would hurt you right." " Yes it would-" "So do you have any idea how much it hurts me when you keep ditching me for Wednesday ? Not only that but do you even remember what day it is today ?"

He takes out his phone to check the date and the realization hits him. "Today is our anniversary. Yn I'm so sorry-" " Save it. All your gonna do is give me and excuse and that's gonna make me even more mad." I sigh " just go enjoy being with Wednesday " I try to walk off but he grabs my wrist. "Yn I'm so fucking sorry for cancelling on you. It was wrong if me and I'm not going to excuse my actions. I love you baby, I love you so much and I'm sorry that I hurt you. Especially on our anniversary. I'm being a very shitty boyfriend right now but I want to make it up to you. Can you please give me another chance?"

His words felt sincere and genuine. "Fine, but this is your last chance. I can't keep doing this with you." " I promise I won't ruin it." He hugs me and gives me a kiss on the forehead. "I'm so sorry yn. To make it up to you let me take you on a date right now." I smiled "I would love that." As we start walking I remembered something. "Shouldn't you tell Wednesday that your leaving ?" " Shit right plus I forgot my jacket in there." He runs back inside to get his stuff and I laugh him. He comes back out with his jacket on. " Okay baby you ready?" He says with his cute smile. "I'm ready my love".

The night was nice. He took me to Olive garden and after the movies. The night was full of laughs and smiles and of course he was still apologizing (as he should). On our way back to school we spot a flower shop. He tells me to wait outside and that he will just be a minute. He comes out with a single white rose and hands it to me. "I know a flower won't cover up how bad of a boyfriend I have been but I do love you yn and I promise to be better to you." He gives me a long passionate kiss. "Thank you my love. I love the flower and I appreciate that. I hope you will too." He interlocks his hand with mine and we start walking back to school.

He walks me up to my room. I unlock and open the door. By this time Enid and Ajax were already gone and had cleaned my balcony. I turn to Xavier "thank you for tonight. I had fun." " I'm glad you did." He smiles and gives me one last kiss. "I'll see you tomorrow okay". "Okay my love see you !" I close the door behind him and start getting ready for bed.

I hope this was better and y'all I'm a sucker for single white roses. 🤭
