I am one of the most popular girls here at Nevermore. Everyone wants to be my friend but I'm not much of a people person. Of course I'm nice to them but it only seems that people want to be my friend to get popular and not actually be my friend. That's why I mainly stay to myself but I have three main friends. Enid, Wednesday and Ajax have been really good friends of mine for years. We have been through a lot together and I love them so much and I'd do anything for them. But even with them I can't help but feel like something's missing.

I should mention that I've never had a boyfriend. Whenever I was close to getting one, they showed me their true colors, and I didn't like it. But to be honest I kinda have a crush on this one kid. This name is Xavier Thorpe. He's so handsome and he's kinda like me in a way. He stays to himself most times plus he's talented and smart. Now I'm not a stalker but I do like looking at him. He looks at me too. Whenever I catch him looking, he always looks away and hides his face. He's so cute.

Luckily for us, we share a class together. We are in Miss Thornhill's class and we had to work on a project but it was a two person project. Instead of us picking who to work with, she set up groups. I wasn't really paying attention until she said my name. "Xavier your going to be with Y/N. Okay now everyone go with your partners."

Xavier and I lock eyes and I smile at him. His face turns a bit pink and he gives me a small smile back. This kid is something else. I feel like I'm about to melt. Xavier gets up from his seat and makes his way over to me. He sits down next to me and I turn to him. "I can do all the work if you want." He tells me, not even looking at me with a quiet voice. "No, we are going to work on this together. It's a painting project and I know that your an amazing painter."

As I say this he looks up and locks eyes with me again. "Do you want to come over to my dorm and work on it with me ?" He asks me  with a small smile. "Yes of course." I tell him with a smile back. He laughs a little and my heart skips a beat. STOP BEING SO CUTE! "Great it's a date then." The bell rang and I held my hand out. "Let me put my number in your phone." "Oh yeah." He says and pulls out his phone. I put my number in and call my phone. "Now I have yours." I stand up and grab my stuff. "Bye Xavier, I'll see you later." I say and ruffle his hair with a smile. "Bye y/n." He says with a small smile back.

Xavier pov

"Bye Xavier, I'll see you later." She says and ruffles my hair. Gosh to feel her run her hands through my hair. I smile back a little, "Bye y/n." She walks out. I stand up and grab my stuff and walk out the class. I have to use the bathroom so I head there when I'm suddenly grabbed. I'm thrown to the floor and smack the back of my head on the floor really hard. "What do you think your doing with y/n ?" Our school bully Trevor asks me. "Nothing we are just working on a project together."

Next thing I know he kicks me in my stomach. He then lifts me by my shirt and punches me in the face a couple times. "You better not try nothing with her. I know your a creep. I've seen your drawings of her. You really think she'd get with a loser like you ?" He asks and him and his friends start laughing at me. "She's mine, got it ?" Trevor says getting in my face. I can't talk cause it hurts too much so I just nod my head. He throws me back down and kicks me once more in my side. Shit.

(Time skip)

Y/n pov

I can't wait for Xavier and I's study date ! I'm suddenly pulled out my thoughts by Wednesday. "What's making you all giddy Y/n ?" "Well if you must know, I'm going to be working on a project with Xavier !" I tell her with excitement in my voice. "OMG FINALLY YOU GUYS ARE GONNA GET TOGETHER!" Enid says excitedly as well. "Well I don't know about that but I'm definitely going to try and flirt with him." I tell them.
