Having been driving for over an hour, you decided to head back to your hometown. Taking the first right after a left, you came to a roundabout just approximately a mile and a half from where your old house is at. Trying to focus on the road, the other half of your mind was too busy thinking about the so called 'body' that was discovered at the bottom of the basement. Seriously. You didn't even know you had a basement in the first place. How come you've only found out about it now? you repeated the question in your mind as you headed on to the roundabout.

Turning on to an old road, you slowed down carefully as you spotted a sharp corner just ahead of you

Turning on to an old road, you slowed down carefully as you spotted a sharp corner just ahead of you. The rain was heavy, but not too heavy you were able to see ahead of you which was a miracle at least. Quite frankly, you hate driving in the rain, it limits your view, especially in the evening element where despite having your headlights on, you are still unable to see a good amount of distance ahead. Bu at least at this moment of time you're driving in the daylight so really there's nothing you should be concerned about.

The route way home this time was somehow... empty... it feels like some sort of uninhabited location out in the middle of nowhere, like as it welcomes you into a strange and unknown planet. Driving straight on ahead, you looked to the right only to see a pile of burning ashes just outside the woods. It wasn't big, it looked as though somebody wanted to get rid of something so desperately, they went to the level of extreme. But resulted in a poorly, terrible effort.

Ramping up the accelerator as you were climbing up a hill, suddenly a plastic bin emerged out of the bushes and almost hit the car. It vanished away from the road and landed into an area of unforgiving trespass, where beyond the bushes, was allegedly the location where human bodies were discovered. It was around 8 in total, with burns and torn apart body components, were found covered with soil consisting of snails, slugs, worms and spitting spiders. The killer remains out there and their location, his or her, remains unknown. Not only that, people claimed to have been hearing unidentifiable babbling and disruption taking place, coincidentally in the exact location that you had just passed. Seriously though. Whoever the hell threw that bin out onto the road likely isn't aware of the tales that circulate the place.

~15 minutes later~

(Y/N) pulled up just outside your house where you actually live this time. It was getting dark soon, you can tell from the pink candy floss clouds that were behind you. As you headed up onto your doorway, someone called your name. "(Y/N)!" You jumped and turned around. I was Jennie from your workplace. "You scared the living daylights out of me!" (Y/N) said and exchanged a hug between each other. "How are you?" (Y/N) asked. "I'm fine, thanks. What about yourself?" Jennie asked and scratched at her hair. "Don't even speak. You won't believe what I have to tell you. Come on inside!" (Y/N) encouraged. "Sounds ominous..." Jennie added very quietly and followed you in.

"Do you fancy a cup of coffee?" (Y/N) asked. "Yes please. Why not?" Jennie replied and took out a chair from the kitchen table. (Y/N) smiled and proceeded to the kitchen workbench. "How are the kids getting on?" (Y/N) asked. "They're getting on great. I took them to a play store where I allowed them to pick a toy each." Jennie replied. "Very good. And what did they get?" "Eliza got a doll with red bushy hair and she called it: 'Rosy'. But... Thomas bought something even stranger than that." Jennie added. "Really? What was it?" (Y/N) sked as you were finishing up the drinks. "Erm.... I'm not quite sure how to describe it. But... if you don't mind, you can come over to mine and have a look for yourself?" Jennie asked. "Are you sure about that? What about the kids?" (Y/N) asked. "They're staying overnight at their cousins. Their birthday party is tomorrow." Jennie added. "Oh. Um... Sure. I don't mind." (Y/N) added as you took a sip of coffee.

"Besides. You said you had something to tell me?" Jennie asked. "Huh? Oh yeah. That's right!  almost forgot." (Y/N) said and set your cup down. Fiddling with your fingers, for a bit, you didn't know where on earth to start. But you had to tell Jennie what you saw.

"Ok. So I just got this sudden urge I'd go back into Derry and try to seek out my old friend, Leah. Haven't heard from her in years, so I believed it was the time to go back there and to see whether she's about or not." I'd thought she'd moved somewhere else?" Jennie asked. "If she did, she never told me, so that's probably why I haven't heard anything. But at the same time, it doesn't make sense." (Y/N) explained and continued on. "I decided to head back to my old house where I used to live before. But only to discover that it was surrounded by police and detectives." (Y/N) added. "Jesus. What the hell?" Jennie exclaimed. "You're not going to believe this but... they discovered a body in the basement. Something I didn't know was there all along." (Y/N) exclaimed. "Okay.. What the fuck?" Jennie asked. "Why was there a body in the basement?" She added. "I...  don't know. But according to police, she'd said unexplainable activity." (Y/N) told Jennie.

"Unexplainable activity? They don't know who did it?" Jennie asked. "So far anyway. And other thing to note was people hearing inaudible noises close in the vicinity of the area." (Y/N) added and took another sip of coffee. "Oh. Really? Well. That's... concerning. Are they sure they weren't going out of their mind?" Jennie added. "They probably went too far out of their mind that they had to leave. People had been complaining about a horrible smell emerging from the property itself. That's what brought to the attention of police." (Y/N) explained.

"Okay... Well, definitely don't go back to Derry again. That place is like... cursed or whatever." Jennie said. "You're certainly right. Years ago, a family had suddenly vanished and were never to be seen again. They were later pronounced dead as police were unable to retrieve their bodies unfortunately. Gives my spine the chills just to think about it." (Y/N) said. "Well... if it's bothering you, why don't you stay over at mine for the night? Give you a bit of a distraction?" Jennie suggested. "Thanks, but... I have to tidy up this place." (Y/N) added. "Give it a rest. Leave it to the morning." Jennie spoke. "But I--" (Y/N) was about to speak. "I'm not taking no for an answer. Come!" Jennie exclaimed and finished her coffee. "Fine." (Y/N) said, giving in.
