It was around 10:13 am when you woke up from the double bed you were sleeping in with Jennie. It was a lovely night spending time with a friend. But it's time to head home again.

But... as soon as you opened the bedroom door... that creepy strange doll was  staring back at you. Through Thomas's bedroom window. Why on earth does he have a bedroom window in the first place? you thought to yourself. But then, you remember Jennie telling you about the night when he thought he 'heard someone breaking in'. Jennie's been trying to convince him that it's no one there and that it's only her opening or closing the doors down or upstairs. But still he wouldn't listen. He still insisted someone's breaking in to 'kidnap him'. How ridiculous. You thought to yourself. But still. Seeing that... freaky object on the shelf looking back at you, gives you the chills. Why did he place it on the shelf? Wouldn't any other typical kid like him put it in their bed next to them? While that was a question for another day, all you know is you can't stand looking at that thing for a second longer.

Descending down the stairs rapidly, you took a big, long yawn to yourself and stretched your self. Nothing more perfect than a good night's sleep. "Good morning." (Y/N) called. "Morning, babe. How are you this morning?" Jennie asked. "I'm feeling fine, thanks. What about yourself?" (Y/N) added. "I'm doing great. Fancy a coffee?" Jennie offered. "Sure. Why not? I'll be heading back home in about an hour and a half anyway." (Y/N) yawned and took a seat at the kitchen table.

"You won't believe the dream I was having last night." Jennie said and got out the coffee box. "What was your dream about?" (Y/N) asked. "I remember I was in this... strange and old house outside of town. It appeared to be deserted. No one was around." Jennie explained. "Well, that's interesting. You have me intrigued." (Y/N) said curiously. "The walls were rotting away. Half of the windows appeared to be destroyed. Some of the roof tiles were missing as well." Jennie added. "Oh wow. You're a real story teller, my friend." (Y/N) spoke. "I remember.... walking in to the old house. It was dark and rusty. Half of the furniture were torn apart, with photo frames smashed to smithereens." Jennie added. "Wow.... This sounds like something from a horror movie." (Y/N) spoke. "What happened?" (Y/N) asked.

"I was hearing.... a kid... crying in the distance. Or more accurately, what felt like it was within the nearby vicinity." Jennie spoke. "Jesus. That's concerning." (Y/N) said. "Using my excellent listening skills, I tried to identify the location where this kid was at. But as the closer I got, I was stopped by this sudden cut of the crying. Like as if the kid had just vanished meters from within my reach." Jennie added. "Woah. Now that's disturbing." (Y/N) said as Jennie set down their cups of coffee.

"Having already been hanging around inside that creepy house for ages, I decided to leave. But then..." Jennie was about to speak. "Something happened? What?" (Y/N) were asking, your curiosity piqued.

"I was hearing the sound of what appeared to sound like someone... scraping their nails against the wall. But it sounded a lot more sharper than that. It was moving very slow whatever it was, slowly and steadily making it's way up, as if the sound was actually climbing the wall." Jennie spoke. "Holy fucking shit. What did you do then?" (Y/N) asked.

"I woke up". Jennie said.

"Weren't you scared?" (Y/N) asked. "Stupid question." (Y/N) added. "It's ok, it's ok. Look. Of course I was scared. I couldn't see what was going on. From crying children to scraping walls, my mind was hallucinating." Jennie replied. "Well, good thing you woke up. You might have had a heart attack otherwise." (Y/N) added. "Yes. Well... at least it was fictional. And not a reality..." Jennie added. (Y/N) smiled and fiddled with your bracelet.

"Right. I think it's time I head home. Thank you for letting me stay." (Y/N) and exchanged a hug with Jennie. She accepted the gesture and added: "you're welcome. Any time. I'll walk you out the door." she said and followed you out.

As (Y/N) was about to open the front door, you'd spotted Thomas's creepy doll looking out the living room window. What the fuck? How did that get there? you thought to yourself. "Thanks for the takeaway too. How much do I owe you?" (Y/N) asked. "No no, don't worry about it, (Y/N). Get yourself home is all what matters to me." Jennie said. "Are you sure? I feel kinda bad for just relying on you using up your wages." (Y/N) spoke. "It's fine, it's fine. Get back to your house." Jennie said.

(Y/N) waved bye and started to stroll ahead. The glazing sun was absolutely beautiful. With it's stunning rays peaking through the trees and peoples' windows, followed through by a swift of fresh morning air, nothing better to kick off the day.

By the time you came home, your phone had just reconnected to your internet. "Ah well. May as well rest myself for a bit." (Y/N) said and curled up onto the comfort of you sofa. You clicked on the notification your mind was instantly drawn to and opened a link:

Abigail Embery, a daughter of one, has been living at home with her mother for 16 years. She's described as a fondly, compassionate and caring individual. Unfortunately, late this afternoon, her absence for over two days has been deemed missing to the local authorities.

Police statement                                                                                                                                                              "We had been notified of this case. We are aware of this case. We will be launching an investigation into the disappearance of this beautiful young girl. This will require a heavy amount of work. But under guidance and the conditions of this incident, we are asking the public for their full cooperation and coordination." -Chief Inspector Marl Lurburk

"Holy Jesus." (Y/N) said and continued to read the article.

Article                                                                                                                                                                                           There is an interest of people that the disappearance of Abigail is echoing cases from the past. Many years ago, some innocent family were said to be missing. Although there had been rumors of human bodies discovered in a local storm drain, none of them were ever to be found. This was the reason that closed out the River Ivor to the public for health and safety concerns.

"The River Ivor? That's like, a couple of miles outside of here." (Y/N) spoke to yourself and continued reading.

Local councilors are also on the case of appealing to the public to join forces to find the girl. "This is an absolute shock to the community. We thought that this had been left behind in the past. Our thoughts and concerns are with the mother. Our main goal, objective, as a collective community must do all we can to help bring Abigail home again."

"Oh gosh. I hope they will be able to find her. Poor pet." (Y/N) added and closed out of the headline.
