Achoooooo...

"Alex are you alright?" I'm fine, Miss Thompson, don't worry. Thanks for asking tho. "Are you sure you're okay? You look a little pale" Imogen asked. I think I catched a cold the other day. I didn't wear a jacket and stood in the rain for like half an hour... but I'm fine don't worry. Well that was very stupid of you Imogen said while laughing.

The bell rang and we were on our way to our next class. But then my vision got all blurry. "Alex are you sure you are alright you don't look too good I'm taking you to the nursery office" Imogen I'm fi- ...

I can't remember what happened next.

I woke up in the nursery office with Imogen sitting next to me holding my hand. What happened? "You were telling me you were fine and then you passed out. Luckily I caught you before you hit the ground" Imogen told me. Thanks for catching me, I said. I felt my cheeks getting warmer. Shit I must be blushing like crazy right now I hope she doesn't notice. "Are you okay, your cheeks are all red, are you getting sick again?" Okay so she did notice. My head hurts and It's cold. My throat also hurts. I said.

Then the school nurse walked in the room and told me that school was about to finish in an hour and that I could go home. She then said that she tried to call my parents but they didn't answer. That's because they're on a business trip to the Netherlands for a few days. Then she told Imogen that she's allowed to come with me to keep an eye on me and said that the teacher was sick anyway so that she wouldn't miss anything.

"Do you think you are able to bike?" Imogene said with a concerned face. I think so...well actually I hope so... "Why don't you sit on the back of my bike and I'll ride you back to school in the morning when you feel better. Your bike can stay here, it's locked up right?" Yes it is. I answered. "Good now hop on."

Imogen's pov:

We're here! I said. Are you able to walk? "Mhm..achoo" I parked my bike next to the door while Alex sat on a bench next to her house. She really didn't look too good. So I had an idea. "Imogen, what are you doing?!" Picking you up, what else dummy. I scooped Alex of the bench bridal style. Key please I asked Alex. "Backpack" she whispers half asleep. I opened the door and laid her down on her couch.

Alex curled up in a little ball. Hehe you're cute I said without hesitation. I noticed her cheeks getting red. I chuckled. That's when I noticed how hard she was shivering. Are you cold? I asked. You could hear how worried I was because of the little cracks in my voice. "Ye- yes" come here I said. I wrapped her in a blanket that was laying on the other side of the couch and wrapped my arms around her.

It's okay now, just rest for a bit. I won't leave, I promise. She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep in my arms. I hope she's having a nice dream, I thought. I hope that I'm in her dream. Wait, stop. That's weird right? Nah ah nope nope nada nopes that's really weird. I'm glad I didn't say that out loud. If she heard what I said she'd probably think I'm weird.

Since the first day I met Alex she has been so nice to me. She's probably my best friend. I'm glad she is. I hope that when I tell her I'm bisexual she still wants to be my friend.

My phone rang and I picked it up. "Imogen Teresa Mendoza where are you" oh shit my dad. I thought the school called you. I said. I'm at Alex's house. You know the girl I ride to school with from across the street. She got sick and was allowed to go home and since the teacher was sick I was allowed to go with her to make sure she's alright. "Oh alright then you take care of her, do you want me to bring some of the soup I made, it's chicken soup good for when you're sick" yes please, and thanks dad.
