Part 36

Theo's POV

I honestly thought today was perfect. I mean everyone important in my life, except Flo and I guess now Lizzie, were here and all getting along. It warmed my heart watching as my siblings and cousins played with Cossy and Rosie while Scarlett sat chatting with my Mam, Aunts and Nan. It was just, it's all I want from life. This, right here is what life is all about. That moment where everything else doesn't matter because you are surrounded by the people you love all smiling and laughing. 

Hell, I didn't even care that my Dad was clearly cheating at this game. Typically everyone would have scrapped the game by now, Dad, Rhys and me normally scaring everyone off with our bickering. The three of us are ridiculously competitive and we butt heads a lot when it comes to games, resulting in a lot of shouting and yelling until Mam came in to tell us all off and make us stop playing because she would never participate. But no, not tonight. Tonight I didn't care because this was perfect. 

Rose we sitting on the floor next to Millie, Kat and Annie sitting behind them, helping them every now and then when they didn't understand something. Everyone else was spread around the room, Cossy on Craig's lap laughing as he tugged on Craig's messy curls. Honestly, watching Craig with Cossy is one of my favourite things from this trip. I think it is because Craig has the mental age of a five-year-old sometimes, but whatever it is I am whiling to bet a lot on them being best buddies as Cossy grows up. I had tried to sit on the floor by the girls but Scarlett just glared, moving from her seat as she forced me into it before sitting by my feet, leaning her head against my legs as she played with my spare hand, keeping me trapped on the sofa.

If I could freeze a moment in time, one to look back on with just pure joy, it would be this moment right here. 

So when Cossy toddled over I just grinned, laughing slightly as he bumps against the side of Scar to reach me. I figured he wanted up as his little arms extended towards me, although they didn't quite reach for me as his little hands settled on my stomach as if seeking out my bump. Which I didn't even consider until his next words "baby" he mumbled, looking at me with a proud grin. I don't think anyone heard him and if they did they definitely didn't comment, probably thinking he was talking nonsense. At least not the first time. Because when I didn't react he just tried again, his little voice loud and clear "baby, Mama!" Now if people didn't hear him the first time they definitely did that time as the whole room fell silent.

Not that I cared, I was too busy trying not to sob. I think it's a combination of how fucking adorable Cossy is and the fact that he just outed my biggest secret to my whole family. Taking one thing at a time I scoop Cosmo up sitting him on my knees, figuring everyone had worked it out by now so screw them. "Yeah, buddy, baby" I coo at him moving my hand on top of his before sticking it under my hoody to rest on the skin, watching as he giggles happily.  I took a minute, focusing on him rather than the building silence in the room, hoping that if I focused on him the others would melt away and I wouldn't have to deal with the argument that is about to occur. 

Of course, that didn't happen though. Instead, I felt another little body climb onto the sofa I'm sitting on, looking at Cossy and me curiously. "What does Cosmo mean baby, Theo?" Millie asked, clearly confused making me sigh, well I guess all the kids are out to get me as Rose plopped down on my other side joining in with Cosmo as she placed a cold hand under my hoody. "Mama has a baby in her belly, it's going to be my little sister" she boasted, making me groan. "Rosie, we have been over this, we don't know if it is going to be a sister, it might be a little brother like Cosmo" Scar whispered to her but seeing as the room was deathly silent I am willing to bet everyone heard her. 

I took a deep sigh as Rose grumbled that she knows it was a little sister, which typically would make me laugh but right now I can feel the stress bubbling in my veins. "Hang on" Craig cut in, looking between Scarlett, the kids and me in clear confusion. "What are they on about?" He asked although I could physically see the pieces click in his brain. If he could figure it out then they all could. I opened my mouth to reply but closed it quickly. I have no idea what to say.
