Scarlett's POV

Well, this is not how I saw today going.

I was rudely woken up by Rose, who was way too excited this morning, as she flung herself on top of me, making me groan not liking the early wake-up call or the added weight on my chest. Especially not as she bounced on top of me, making me wince as she knocked all the air out of my lungs. "Mommy, Theo is outside" the small girl cheered, confusing me, it's seven am on a Saturday, there is no way Theo is outside. Plus if she was she would have messaged me, she never just comes over, she always texts first to check it was ok, no matter how many times I told her she was welcome anytime. Not to mention Theo is the furthest from a morning person someone could get. She one time said that if it was before midday she is either walking dead or had not gone to sleep yet.

So naturally, I assumed Theo being outside was just Rose telling me about her dream, so I went on with the morning. Weaving my way around Rose who was hell-bent on getting in my way today, as she went on and on about going to see Theo outside while I tried to make Cosmo and her breakfast, which was getting increasingly difficult as Rose clung to my leg. "Right, go get dressed. We are going to the park, it's not even nine o'clock and you are already driving me crazy" I tell her once she has finished eating her breakfast, watching as she finally leaves me alone to go get ready. "She's crazy, isn't she" I coo at Cosmo, who just smiles and claps his hands in agreement as I follow after Rose to get myself and Coso ready.

So Theo really was outside the house. Although she looked like she was pretty much asleep on her bike, which would be cute if she didn't look like death. She was pale and her eyes had bags under them so big that I could see them from here. Honestly, the sight had me worried about her. I haven't seen her since the party at Roberts last week, not even really hearing from her besides the odd text letting me know she's alive. Flo had mentioned she is working on a new project, plus trying to juggle hanging out with Kat before she went home so I don't mind that she hasn't been in touch. I'm just confessed as to why she is outside my house right now. Before I knew what was going on there was a crash and Theo was now pinned under her bike, a guilty Rose standing nearby with tears in her eyes.

Running over I set Cosmo down before pulling the bike off a groaning Theo, who just rolls out from under the bike as I kick the stand up so that the bike is back to normal, Theo wincing slightly in pain at the action. I truly don't know if she is wincing in pain or at the idea that her bike had been damaged when it fell. Taking a quick glance at the bike I let out a relieved sigh when I see there are no scratches, Theo loves that bike more than anything else she's ever bought herself. She said it was the first thing she bought when she got to New York and she genuinely loves it, not to mention it's now synonymous with T. I mean she somehow got a deal with the manufacturer and is now the face of the bike, just because they found out how much she loves their bike.

Turning back to help Theo I smile when I see Rose and Cosmo both in her grasp, the three cuddling together, as Theo just sits with them, a tired smile on her face as she talks with Rose, who must be happy with what Theo just said as she jumps up and runs to the car, waiting for me and Cosmo. I wait for Theo to get up but she doesn't seem to be making a move for it anytime soon, so instead I walk over, offering her my help which she takes with a smile. Another groan slips past her lips as she gets to her feet, her grip staying around Cosmo as she walks him over to the car.

I was surprised when Theo got in the car with us, even more so when she settled between the kids in the back rather than sitting up front with me, although I shouldn't have been. Of course, Rose asked her to join us, although a part of me wish she had said no and gone home to sleep instead. I love spending time with Theo if I had it my way I would spend every second of every day with her, but that is impossible so I'll take what I can get. But right now she is clearly exhausted and as long as she is with the kids she isn't going to let herself relax. The last thing I want is her making herself ill because she wore herself into the ground. She very clearly is tired, and by the looks of it, she didn't sleep at all last night, which makes me frown. Why wasn't she sleeping? What could have possibly kept her up all night? Ew, gross, please let it not be what I think could have kept her up all night. I was going to confront her about it but Rose started talking before I got the chance.
