Part 25

Scarlett's POV

Rose was not happy when I told her she couldn't come to the appointment with us, and Theo was not helping me as she cuddled with Cosmo with tears in her eyes. She is clearly trying hard not to cry but is clearly losing so I better get moving or I will have three crying people in this room right now and I don't think I could manage that. "Flower, if you hang out with Flo like a good girl you can pick what song I do for the encore. I know you want to come but you will be so bored" Theo finally chimed in, her voice kind of wavering but she is clearly trying her best not to cry as Rose pouts but nodded, while Flo huffs in the corner. 

"We are going to have so much fun Rose. I was thinking we could go to the park while your Mama and Mommy are gone and then we can be back to meet them when they're done. We could even get some ice cream" Flo offers, which does little to appease Rose but by this point, she has already given in though so who cares? "Thank, Flo, we shouldn't be more than an hour, at least I hope not she has to be in hair and makeup at four," I said before moving to leave, looking at Theo expectedly as she follows behind me like a sad puppy.

"You have to give Cosmo to Flo so we can go, baby" I tease her, which was definitely the wrong move, as she kisses Cosmo and Rose goodbye before leaving with a huff, silent tears falling down her face. 

She didn't say anything to me the whole drive there. Nor did she speak to me while we wait. Or while we were at the appointment. Just radio silence, heck, she wouldn't even look me in the eyes as she huffed, faking a smile as she spoke to Dr Montgomory. Usually, when she gets her blood drawn she tells me some stupid fact relating to blood about animals, such as did you know a shrimp's heart is in its head? She explained once that she used to have blood tests a lot as a kid and memorised a poster that was on the back of the doctor's door, which was filled with facts like that. She says telling them to me while she gets her blood drawn takes her mind off of things. 

Well, she won't even tell me a silly fact right now. That's how annoyed she is with me. Not even a glance when I told her my own fact, I had learnt some in case she ran out since she was getting blood tests all the time at the moment. "Did you know spiders have blue blood, baby?" I asked, trying for the sixteenth time to get her to speak to me. She didn't even acknowledge me as she waited to be freed. Dr Montgomory said everything looked good and even printed a picture of the little grape for each of us, which made me smile as I looked at it. That's our baby and I don't think I can get my head around that just yet, it still amazes me. 

"The baby is on the smaller size, but nothing too out of the ordinary, which is to be expected with everything going on. I know you are going to be on tour, but please just try and take things as easy as possible. Let other people help you out and make sure you treat yourself right, ok. I will see you in LA in a month for another appointment before you fly out for the rest of your tour, but I am going to get you to get blood taken twice while you are away to keep me in the loop" Dr Montgomory explained, recapping everything as Theo waves away the plaster they are trying to put on her with a pout. "She is allergic, they give her a rash, but she won't say that" I explain to the poor nurse who was looking confused. 

Thankfully, for everyone's sanity, Theo fell asleep on the way back to the stadium. I am praying she is in a better mood when she wakes up, and by that I mean I hope she will at least look at me once she is awake. Thankfully since it's still early there isn't too much press as I take the underground passage to the parking lot and I can carry her back to her dressing room without waking her. 

She must be shattered the poor thing, because normally she is a super light sleeper but she doesn't even stir as I move her from the car to the couch in the room, checking to see if she still has time to nap before getting ready. Luckily, she still has half an hour before her team comes in to start glamming her up.
