Patch Mall, South Beacontown - 5:02 pm
Jesse's POV
I haven't shopped at the strip mall for a while since I moved to North side with my brother. It feels good to be back, but what really fumed me is that some of my favorite stores are either close down or replaced. They used to have stunning outfits and accessories on sale! I never really cared if it's faux nor real leather, for myself anyway, as long as I feel like I'm the only one pretty.
I know I already have stolen clothes at my apartment but I'd like to take a trip down to the memory lane. I remembered as a kid, Petra would take me there and spoiled me a lot more than Jesse would, it was at that time before I moved out.
I paused as soon as I spotted this gorgeous dress fitted on a mannequin in the window display.
Curious, I went inside to check if there's any more clothes similar to what the mannequin was wearing.
As soon as the enter store alarm went off after pushing the door open. This place is really quiet, assume that I'm the only person in this store.
I stopped in my tracks as soon as I came across this gorgeous sparkly dress that caught my attention. As I went out to grab it, another hand reached out to the same dress as well. I turned to the person and forcefully chuckled to keep my temper in check, "I'm sorry dear but I saw it fi-"
I trailed off when I started to recognize that person.
"Livie!?"
The girl widened her eyes in surprise as she knew, "Jess?!"
We immediately squealed while hugging each other and bounce in excitement, hopefully we don't make a scene out of it. Luckily it was just us so our shouting and squeals filled up the store.
"EEEEEEEE!!!!! LIVIE!!!"
"JESSIE!!!!!"
As we pull off of each other, we scanned each other from head to toe.
"Omigosh Jess! Is it really you!? You look different!" Said Olivia."Heh...yep! Got a little makeup in UK! I didn't think I'd find you here!" I chuckled.
"You would know this is one of my favorite place to hang out if you actually called back! Speaking of, what happened? We haven't heard from you like forever! I was really worried that something bad happened!" Olivia furrowed her brows as she took ahold of both of my palms.
"Getting into interesting things, it was VERY memorable. And now I'm here, with a little glow-up, if I do say so myself.~" I flipped my hair before making a few poses, showing up my new outfit in front of her.
"Wow...I bet London's awesome!"
I sighed, "Not when I heard about what happened to my brother..."
"Oh...I was there at his funeral...I'm sorry for your loss...I tried to reach you as soon as the news spread, phonecall and letters but you didn't send anything back nor call anyone." Olivia then hugged me as I smiled lightly, trying not to focus on our loss.
"It's ok, what matters now is that we gotta move on. I love London but with Jesse gone...I guess I'm pretty much homesick. Now I'm starting a new life here. What have you been up to?"
"A lot of stuff happened, I moved here, community college, friend in cuffs, blah blah blah, I know it's not like on North side but I stayed here for a couple of weeks and I thought 'South side isn't bad as I thought it'd be'." Liv chuckled nervously.
"I get it. I missed living here, but I know I'm going to enjoy making new memories."
Olivia shot out a smile, "I'll be out on my college classes for a while later on so if you wanna hang out like we used to, I could give you my address and number." I shooked my head, "How about we meet up at Gemstone bar? Y'know where it's at? It used to be my home when I was a kid."
