Cale walks away from the lake and remember his last conversation with Witiria.
‘I need to be careful with the ki – ‘
A loud roar echoed through the forest. Its voice booms in every corner as if showing its power and domination over every animal around it.
But instead of fear, Cale only thinks that ‘I need to convince the king so that I can finally have a place to stay for good and won’t have to find a new house again’
…
“Hmm. How amusing. That fox didn’t cower from my roar. He must be the next king that the God has sent.”
A large lion shakes its mane majestically as he thinks that an interesting animal has come
….
The red fox suddenly gets the chills but decided to ignore it as he saw a large holy-looking gate. It has some gold patterns adorned in it.
“This must be the place. That legendary paradise”
Cale push out the gate and make a small opening to enter to.
As he enters, he was greeted by a true paradise. A lot of beautiful plants and flowers, tall trees, a water falls that seems to come from the mountain. And at the center of this paradise, a large lion can be seen.
It is only standing but its presence literally screams ‘I am the King’. It so noble looking that Cale look at it dazingly, but then immediately bow.
“I greet His Majesty, the ruler of the Forest of Darkness. I am Cale, a red fox from the outer part of the forest”
“Rise, my successor”
‘Successor?’
Cale hesitantly got up and look at the lion.
“I am Eruhaben. I am sure you already know that as you were sent here by the God to be the next king. Come and follow me. I will teach you all the things that you need to learn”
“!?”
Cale just froze. And seems to stop functioning.
‘But I was never sent here by any God’
‘I only want a place to stay!’
‘Just what is happening to me!?”
After a few years, Cale then achieved his goal to find a place to live for good and also became the king of the Forest Of Darkness as a bonus.
