Pedestrian Lane

"Your bones are getting weaker and weaker, old man" I told dad and continue running. I am doing my morning jog when dad and my twin sister unusually invited themselves to join me,

"Dad, ang bagal mo daw sabi ni Aczia, anong masasabi mo dun?"

I rolled my eyes and let them talk, then I stopped so they can reach my place already.

I looked at my wristwatch when they are already in front of me.

"The two of you took three minutes before you got in here, tsk, tsk" I commented and shook my head before I run again.

"Alam ko na kung saan napunta ang sama ng loob ng mommy niyo noong pinagbubuntis niya kayong dalawa" narinig kong sabi ni daddy na tinawanan lang ng kakambal ko.

"I have my thesis defense later, so maybe you may just go home here without me. Let's reschedule our coffee date, tomorrow" I said to my twin sister with finality so all she needs is to nod at me.

"Okay, I have a date anyway" she happily said and I frowned.

"You have a date and if I didn't told you to reschedule our date later, I am sure you won't even bother to tell it to me. I felt so betrayed, twin sister" I said and frowned at her.

"Because I knew you won't stop until you saw him and judge him with your own criteria" she said like it's no big deal that she didn't tell me about her date.

"And what criteria is that?" I asked and crossed my arms over my chest, before I raised my brow at her.

"Rich, smart, perfect and then handsome. If the handsome part is missing, then it's not enough. So, I want you to meet him once he passed over my criteria" she said and I sighed.

"Bakit, hindi ba gwapo yang ka-date mo?" tanong ko na parang hidni ko naman ma-imagine na pipili siya ng panget.

"Insanely handsome, finger licking good" she answered and we both laughed.

"Yup, kambal nga kayo"

We both looked at Kuya who just got inside the dining area.

"I didn't knew you are here" I commented after checking if he's real. He might be a doppelganger, Kuya is busy with the business now since daddy is training him to handle it.

"Good morning to you too, Queen Elsa" he teased and I rolled my eyes.

"Good morning, Kuya" my twin sister greeted him nicely and of course, my brother is an attention seeker so he tapped her head like a little girl to get more of my twin's attention.

"Who's going to ride my car?"

"Me, I have thesis defense as well. So, if you are going to fetch me at school, no need. My best friend will drive me home, instead" I answered and he nodded.

"Okay, ma'am. Always so bossy and serious, ayaw mong gayahin 'tong kakambal mo" he said and I again, rolled my eyes at him.

"We are the same, Kuya. It's just that he wants to give you the attention and nice attitude, because you're an attention seeker and you're our Kuya" I said and he sighed. "By the way, I saw a bouquet at the trach can, is that yours?" I asked him and he frowned, now wanting to show the truth on his face. I smirked.

"Nope"

"You know my talent, Kuya? I am a lie detector and you're not a good liar. Basted?"

"Oh my! Seriously!?" my twin's OA reaction always made me to shook my head.
