Meet

For weeks, we continue doing our investigation about this case. All of our free time, we made sure to spend it investigating.

Our anniversary is the only time we stopped researching and those days that we have an event or planned dates.

"I won the case!" I happily announced when I arrived home and my eyes widen when I saw that he prepared a romantic date for us.

These past few weeks, I am busy with the new case given to me. It is a homicide case and I made sure to look in every angle, every witness, every fucking evidence and I made sure that no one will tamper it. That's why we don't have enough time talking to each other, aside from the usual greetings and text or call we have.

So, whenever I am staying longer in our firm with my team, going somewhere to investigate, he's just here, waiting for me to go home. He's the one doing everything to investigate about the case with my previous client, because until now there's no progress on where is he.

He's such a big help to me. He's a great partner in good times and bad times.

"I knew you will win the case" he proudly stated and immediately hugged me. "And I also have a surprise for you, my fiancée"

"Surprise?" I frowned and he nodded before he held my cheeks.

"We have a development in the suspect we've been looking for months now" he announced and I closed my eyes tightly. Finally! A real progress huh.

"What is it?" I asked the moment I opened my eyes.

"They already knew where he is hiding"

"I can hear the 'but' on your statement," I commented and he looked at me.

He sighed. "But we can't arrest him yet as the investigator needs a team or anyone that can catch him and put inside the jail. Your family's investigator is a private agency, so they shouldn't meddle with the police. Which is why, we will be needing Alfa's connection here. Aside from that, the investigator told me that, we should pretend that everything is okay, that we don't know anything about him being the real suspect. He needs to be relaxed and comfortable to go out, without thinking that we are just waiting for him to show himself in public"

"I understand, It's been months since I tried to call him and he didn't answer" I stated and he smiled at me.

"At least, we have a progress in this case now." he stated and frowned after. "Is that freak who own that unknown number still texts you?" he asked. When I received that text from the first time, I immediately told it to him.

He asked his friend who's a tech genius to locate where and who is the owner of the number, but then it seems like that person already threw the sim card on the garbage bin, because they locate it at a garbage disposal place.

It happened for two more times, until he stopped disturbing my peace of mind.

"Nope, I told you that he or she is not disturbing me anymore, if I didn't promise to that person that I can serve the justice the victim should have"

"Well, enough about him and about the envelope and about this suspect. We still have good news and you won the case! We fucking need to celebrate"

The dinner started while we are just listening to the soft songs, which we both enjoyed listening too. And then we just talk about so many random things that we usually talk about.
