Still November 5th, 2025. It's been 20 years since Simmo coached Heath and Edge. And today, they both drove all the way to Melbourne to attend his funeral. Right now, it's late morning. They just parked the car, and are on their way.
Edge: (on the phone) It's alright. We'll give them your condolences, if anybody asks. Alright, see ya, mate. (hangs up) Yeah, Matt can't come.
Heath: Meh, not surprising. We're probably the only ones who could turn up, on such short notice.
Edge: You know how it is. These are the perks of living in Melbourne.
Heath: Yeah... Still can't believe Simmo is gone.
Edge: Me neither. But I gotta say, a skydiving accident is a pretty cool way to die.
Heath: What do you mean?
Edge: I mean he didn't die a boring death, like most people. He could have died of old age, but instead, he did something wild. That's badass, mate.
Heath: Yeah, I guess I see your point. Still, don't mention that to his family.
Edge: (chuckles) Would be pretty funny if I did.
Heath: (chuckles) Don't do this, mate. Don't make me laugh. It's a freaking funeral.
