November 5th, 2025. It's been 20 years since the original gang joined the Solar Blue academy. Right now, it's morning. Fly is on a bus, on the way to Blue Water Beach. The radio is playing "No Illusions" by 78 Saab. She receives a call from Bec, and answers it.
Fly: Hello?
Bec: Hey Fly. Are you here yet?
Fly: Almost. I'm still on the bus. I really hope this break helps me sort my mind out.
Bec: It will, trust me. You need this. You need to disappear from Perth for a while.
Fly: Maybe you're right. But we'll see.
Bec: Anyways, there's been a problem here at work. I'm gonna need to stay here for a few hours.
Fly: Oh. Don't worry, I'll be alright on my own.
Bec: You sure?
Fly: Yeah. I'm looking out the window right now, and it's like this place hasn't changed a bit. It's like going 20 years back in time.
Bec: Well yeah, it's pretty much still the same... Too bad some things have to change.
Fly: You heard about Simmo, huh?
Bec: Yeah. I really wish I could attend the funeral. But there's no way I can go to Melbourne now.
Fly: Tell me about it. Simmo was like a father to me, for 2 years. And now I won't even be at his funeral.
Bec: (sigh) It's not really our fault either, is it? They could have told us a lot earlier.
Fly: His family has a lot to deal with right now. They can't remember everything.
Bec: ... Yeah, you're probably right. Anyways, I gotta go now. We'll meet after lunch.
Fly: Got it.
[They hang up. Meanwhile, the bus stops, and Fly gets out. She's finally back to Blue Water Beach]
Fly: ... Wow. This place is really somethin' else. (looks around) There's no one else here. I think I'm going for a surf.
[She puts on her wetsuit, grabs her board, and goes straight into the water, to catch some waves]
