Like I said in the beginning, I never thought I would have a happy life. A life where I would have people who truly cared for me. People who would show me just what the love of a family is.

As I was sitting in the passenger seat of agent Hotchner's car on the way to his home, I didn't realize at the time that I was heading down a road where I would be happy—granted the situation that I'm in now isn't really all ideal and happy but everything that lead up to me here was the best thing to ever happen to me. I was happy, and one of the best parts was that in being placed with agent Hotchner I met the person who would help me change and would help me feel like my true self.

When we pulled up to the small home, I saw another car in the driveway, which I had assumed may have been agent Hotchner's wife. Although, at the time, I didn't know how anyone could be with a man that rarely showed emotion or blinked, I guess we all have our own tastes.

"Is your wife gonna be mad that I'm staying with you? Assuming that you told her." I asked the agent once we pulled into the driveway, and he turned the car off.

He looked at me and said, "My wife's dead." Then got out of the car, mimicking what I said about my parents earlier in his office.

I sat there with my mouth wide open, not expecting that answer. I got out of the car walking behind him as I started to wonder whose car was in his driveway if it wasn't his wife's. I began to question it. Maybe he had a sibling living with him? Or a second car just for the hell of it? It wasn't until we went inside that I got my answer.

As soon as we walked into the home, a little boy ran up to agent Hotchner and hugged him tight, "Daddy!"

"Hey, buddy! How was your day?"

Pulling away, the little boy happily looked to Hotchner, "It was great. School was boring, but aunt Jess took me to the park, and we had so much fun."

"That's great, bud. Glad you had fun." Hotchner said, putting his bag down.

That was when the boy saw me standing behind his father. I gave him a slight smile, not knowing what to say or do in this situation. Before the boy could say anything to me, a woman came from a different room and smiled at us but was taken aback by me.
