It's been a month—a whole month since being taken in by agent Hotchner. And I can honestly say it has been that bad. I've gotten closer to the team and would chill with them after my sessions with Dr. Jackson if they weren't away on a case.

Derek was cool and funny, becoming another older brother who was annoying and teased you any chance he got. I've learned just how brilliant Spencer really is, and every time I see him, I ask him to tell me a random fact. Granted, I don't remember them, but whenever I ask, I can see the genuine excitement on his face.

JJ and Emily are incredible, and I can always crack jokes with them. Although I will say JJ is a bit of a mom friend, and she's always asking if I'm okay. Which was nice at first but can be annoying whenever she asks. I did go on a shopping trip with Garcia, and although she did question my style choices, she did help me pick some lovely pieces of clothing in the end.

Rossi, I have learned, is an incredibly rich Italian guy.  He doesn't always flaunt his wealth, but when he does, it's always in the most classiest way ever. And I respect it, to be honest.

School was alright. What made it bearable was Flynn, Julie, and the guys. We have gotten closer, and I don't actually hate it. I'm still scared to get them involved with what's happening with me, but they were cool. And they invited me to a concert they're performing at in another two weeks. To say I was excited was an understatement as they had given me their demo to listen to, and they were amazing, and I was excited to see them perform live.

Right now, it was Sunday, and I had babysat Jack the entire weekend. Hotchner was away on a case, and Jess had to work, so I told Hotchner I could watch Jack. He wasn't sure about it at first, but Jack managed to convince him that he was excited for me to watch him.

Most of the weekend wasn't really anything special. Mainly cause we couldn't exactly leave the house since I had someone after me. But I found some creative ways to entertain Jack in the end.

"The target is around the corner."

I lean against a wall and peek into the living room, seeing a stuffed animal next to a makeshift 'bomb'.

On 'coms,' I hear Jack, "We have to stop the evil Mr. Bear before he blows up the world."

"On your command, sir. Let's end this." I say, holding up a nerf gun.

"ATTACK!" Jack screamed.

We screamed and ran into the room, shoring the nerf bullets at Mr. Bear. I rolled behind the couch for cover and peeked over to continue shooting. I see Jack hide behind the other couch doing the same. Jack shot at Mr. bear and hit him dead on, knocking him over.

"You did it, sir. Quick we have to disable the bomb before it's too late." I say, getting out from behind the couch as well as Jack.

We rush over to the bomb, and Jack makes it as if he disabled it and then wipes his brow of sweat.

"We did it, agent. We saved the world."

I smile brightly, "Yeah, we did. Nice job."

We high-five, and then we hear the front door open.

"I'm home!" Hotchner called out

"In the living room!"

He walked in and saw nerf gun bullets all over the place. He frowned, wondering what had happened.

"What are you guys doing?"

Jack ran to his dad, "We were playing secret agents. Del and I just saved the world from the evil Mr. Bear."

"Did you now?"

"Yeah!" Jack said with a beaming smile.

"Did you have a nice time with Del?"

"The best. Can she babysit me more often?" Jack asked.

Hotchner looked at me, and I had a shocked expression on my face.

"If it's okay with Del, then yeah, bud. She can."

Jack came to me and held my hand, "Will you babysit me more, Del? I had so much fun this weekend with you."

"Sure, kid. I don't mind. I had fun too." I answered with a smile.

"Yeah!"

Hotchner chuckled, "Alright. Now that you're done saving the world, think you can pick up all your toys?"

"Okay." Jack said and started picking up all the bullets off the floor.

I bend down and start helping him clean up as I see Hotchner head to the kitchen to start dinner. After all the toys were picked up and put away in Jack's room, I went to the kitchen to help with dinner.

"Thank you for watching him this weekend. He clearly had a great time." Hotchner told me.

I shrug, "It was no problem—Jack's great. Plus, I had fun hanging out with him. Although I had to get creative with how I would entertain him."

"What did you come up with besides playing secret agents?"

"Um... painted, but instead with brushes, we used our hands. Don't worry. We did that in the backyard, so nothing got covered in paint. Although I will say we were covered in a lot more paint than the paper was." I say with a chuckle.

"Del." Hotchner gave me a pointed look.

I put my hands up in defense, "Hey, Jack had fun despite being covered in paint."

He rolled his eyes and smiled, "Whatever. I'm just glad you both had fun."

"We did." I say, then Jack comes running in as we finish with dinner.

This month with these people have been great so far, but something was nagging me in the back of my head—a voice saying how this wasn't going to last. Me being somewhat happy and content with my life right now. And that voice was right.

A/N:
this had to be my favorite chapter to write.
having Del and Jack spend time together i thought would be a great filler chapter but also so that you can see how much Del and Jack come to care for each other.
hope you enjoy.
bye:))))))
