It seemed like forever that I was sitting here alone in this room. I had finally stopped crying, and I was sitting here with dryer tears on my cheeks, waiting for someone to tell me I could go back to my foster family's house.

I stood up and started pacing as I couldn't take sitting down anymore, and my anxieties were getting to me. I tried to calm myself down, but nothing I did was working. I kept pacing with all my worries flooding my brain of what would happen to me now.

As I was pacing, JJ walked into the room with another man I hadn't seen before in a grey suit and a blank look on his face.

JJ smiled at me, "Del, this is my boss Aaron Hotchner, but you can call him Hotch."

I looked at the man with the slightest emotion on his face. I just nodded my head.

"Um... when can I leave? I'm sure my foster family is wondering where I am." I ask JJ.

"About that, Del. We think it would be best if you didn't return to your foster family."

I scratched my head in confusion, "What do you mean?"

"Del, if this guy is really gonna try and come back for you, it won't be safe for you to be around your foster family." JJ explained to me.

"So where am I gonna go?"

"To Quantico. With us." Agent Hotchner said.

"What?"

JJ put her hand on my shoulder, "You have been placed into witness protection. But for an extra level of protection, you're being placed with one of us."

"What do you mean one of you? Who am I staying with?"

"Me." Hotchner said, putting his hands in his pockets. "You're gonna stay with me and live under a different name and backstory. I'm sure this isn't what you expected, but this is for your protection."

I was stunned. What was I supposed to say to that? Thank you? Why was it so important that I was being put into witness protection? I didn't deserve this. I don't deserve these agents being so nice to me, so why were they?
