The morning air wafts through the window, carrying the sound of birds chirping outside and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze. Zhan flutters his eyes open; his head hurts like hell as the blinds are open and sunlight filters in. The light hurts his eyes, bouncing off the wall and casting interesting shadows.

"Wake and hop, little bunny," a voice says.

Jumping out of his skin, Zhan looks up to see sitting in a chair at the edge of the bed, legs crossed, is Yibo. The usual charm is gone, replaced by an unstable and unreadable expression.

"Yibo?" Zhan sits up, running a hand through his long mane of hair that just reaches his shoulders, tugging lightly at the strands

"Yibo?" Zhan sits up, running a hand through his long mane of hair that just reaches his shoulders, tugging lightly at the strands. "How did you...?"

"I convinced the lady at the front desk to give me a keycard. She will probably lose her job, but..." Yibo shrugs. "Not my problem."

Zhan rolls his eyes, not ready for this game in the morning. "What are you doing here?"

Yibo leans back in the chair, his eyes locking onto Zhan's and holding his gaze. "I'm here to warn you."

"For what?" Zhan asks, confused.

"For..." Yibo pauses, thinking about the possibilities that could happen and choosing the right words to elaborate. But something happens; possibly a door creaks open, causing him to halt and grin, shaking his head.

Eyes widening, Zhan's heart starts to race as he recognizes the scent of bergamot in the air. No one can save him from Cheng's wrath if he gets caught with Yibo in his room, so he quickly gets off the bed and looks around to find the best spot to hide someone. When he finds one, the closet in the corner, he turns to... "Yibo?"

The chair where the alpha sat earlier is empty, causing his heart to stop racing. "Where could he have gone or possibly hidden?"

"Yi..." The words halt in his throat when Cheng walks inside, glancing at him up and down before shaking his head.

"You're still not ready, Zhan?" Cheng frowns. "We have to leave for the airport soon. Traffic is starting to build up, and our flight is at 2:30 p.m."

Zhan nods, his eyes glancing around the room once again before giving up and getting ready. He gathers his belongings and follows Cheng out of the room, his mind racing with thoughts of the warning. There must be something happening behind his back that he is unaware of, but the alpha is aware of, so Yibo has come all this way to warn him.

A knot forms in his stomach as he tries to piece together the puzzle of what Yibo could possibly be trying to tell him. He puts his phone in his bag and notices a piece of paper snagging on his fingertips. Unfolding it, he sees a crumpled note with a message written hurriedly: "I'm leaving now but will meet up with you in Hong Kong later. Hop, bunny."

The words make him unknowingly hop, and then he realizes his madness and pushes the note back into his bag. The message from Yibo only adds to the confusion and sense of urgency that he is feeling. He believes once they arrive in Hong Kong, the puzzle will piece itself together.
