Unsaid emotions bloomed between Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan at school, but they were driven apart by animosity rooted in their hearts because of Jiang Zhuocheng.
Ten years later, they find themselves face-to-face once again, the tension between them pal...
Sitting on the curb next to his bags and watching the people flow in and out of the automatic doors, Cheng feels his chest tighten with anger and frustration. His little brother is missing, and he can't understand how this could happen. He tries to keep his emotions in check as he scans the crowd for any sign of Zhan, but deep down, his heart breaks at the thought of not finding him.
He looks up from the feet to the faces of the betas standing in front of him, their troubled expressions revealing that they can't find Zhan anywhere despite having searched the area three times.
Clenching and unclenching his fists, Cheng stands up and is about to blame his cousins for the situation they find themselves in. "I trust you with Zhan, but..." His words trail off when a sleek black car pulls up in front of them, the door opening to reveal Zhan stepping out.
Relief floods through Cheng, but it doesn't last when his eyes catch a glimpse of his arch-enemy. His heart pounds in his chest as he watches Zhan approach, a sense of unease settling in the pit of his stomach. His eyes flicker to the figure in the car, a wave of anger and fear washing over him.
The car drives off, but the images in their minds can't drive off. Peixin steps forward, his anger palpable in the air. "How could you do this to us, Zhan?"
Zhan wants to explain, but not to Peixin; rather, to Cheng, who remains silent.
"You know how much we despise that bastard, yet you sneak around, not caring how worried we were about you being missing and the plane we were departing on." Peixin's voice trembles with emotion as he speaks, his fists clenched at his sides. "Is he that important to you, more than us, more than Cheng, more than...?"
"Enough!" Cheng growls, his voice steady but tinged with hurt.
Finding a look of hurt and betrayal in Cheng's eyes, Zhan's mouth opens to speak, but the words catch in his throat. He knows he needs to do something, not let his brother just go and conclude something. He follows after Cheng, calling out to him, trying to grab his attention. "Brother, listen..."
Falling on deaf ears, Cheng continues to walk away, not wanting to listen to anything anymore.
Zhan's heart aches, feeling the rift that has formed between them. He needs to make things right, to mend the rift, but watching his brother retreat, he doubts whether he can. "Brother, please..." he says, reaching for Cheng's hand, but it is swung off.
Cheng doesn't slow down, his back turned to Zhan as he continues to move further away.
Taking a deep breath, Zhan stops and holds his ground, closing his eyes and shouting, "I've gone into heat." Tears spring into his eyes as he opens them, but they don't fall as he pulls out a bottle of suppressor pills from his pocket and shows it as proof.

Cheng halts in his tracks, finally turning to face Zhan with a look of shock and confusion. He is shocked at how he forgot about his little brother and confused about where he could have gone wrong. The bottle of suppressor pills in Zhan's hand feels like a slap to Cheng, making it hard for him to maintain eye contact. "W-Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
