14. Turtle trouble

Leo was trapped.

Not one-liner was getting him out of this situation. Neither did the bone man and his brother help him out, he was all on his own.

"Spill turtle boy"

Pinching his fingers together didn't make it any easier, while not looking at me either. My arms were folded beforey chest, waiting for an explanation.

"Do I get an answer or not?"

"Assuming that we are an item..."

"We are not"

"I said assume"

I sighted, "Fine, then what?"

"What would you love about me?"

I raised a brow in suspicion, "What are you getting at?"

"Just say something"

"I don't know you!"

Hueso were just as puzzled as I was about that whole conversation. My conclusion was, that he had no clue why he wanted me as a girlfriend. Before this trip home will get even more bizzare, I let him go.

But Leo was far from going, "Can we go out sometime?"

"Excuse me?"

For a turtle I was amazed that he can come up with big puppy eyes, "please?"

"You have a lot of nerves to ask me that"

Blue smiled sweet, promising to be the best gentleturtle ever. Hueso offered his restaurant for that date, whispering it to me. I leaned towards him, "Don't leave me alone with this guy".

"I will make sure he behaves..." He said, starring at Leo, "...or I will change the Menü from a stuffed turkey to a stuffed turtle."

"Thank you, I owe you..." Leaning back I smiled at blue, "...Okay, tomorrow at his restaurant".

"Great!" He cheered getting his smartphone, "Can I get your number?"

Oh no, it owns a smartphone?!

"S-sure"

With the exchanged numbers, I hoped that it was done. Nope, he pulled me into his arms, raising his phone up, "say 'hot soup!'"

"Hot wa?"

What was that for?!

Peeking, he changed it to my contact image. Did he really have to be on this photo?

"You want one too?" He asked getting closer.

"Nope I am cool" surfing through the internet. He frowned as I got a pic from a red-eared slider as his image.

"That looks nothing like me"

"This will do"

At this point the conversation was on hold. Leo had some other calls to do, telling his brothers that he found me.
Or at least he was trying to.

"Seriously Donnie, you always take the call...why not now?"

Because he was currently occupied, along with his brothers. Purple and the group had to get close to another, as his annoyed voice was addressed to Raph, "Not one of your best ideas to ask big mama to help us."

"She knows a lot of Yokai, she might have known something"

Donnie snorted, "Scoff, and much more than we should know."

Mikey's legs were shaking, "Guys can we discuss this after we ccome out of here alive?" There were surrounded by warriors of all shapes and sizes, completely armed from head to toe.

Big Mama watched from above how the turtles were frightened to become turtle mashed potatoes in the Battle Nexus Arena. She loved the atmosphere, "Finally some excitement to enjoy".

At least for a few minutes. A bunch of Yokai entered the room, looking awfully frightened. Her eyes narrowed them, seeing something was missing, "I believe we had a deal?"

Dannie and his gang swallowed hard before speaking, "We did big mama, but she got stolen by some blue turle jerk."

"The turtly boos? Blue you said?"

They nodded, stepping back to the elevator.

"That blue one is quite the trouble" remembering that he was the only one that didn't trust her right away and even won at the Battle Nexus alongside her crush, "In this case it can't be helped. Take them to the dungeon...we certainly need some arena clowns during breaks."

"Big Mama give us another chance, we get her for you, we promise."

"I have no use for you"

With that her servants took the into the elevator and out of sight, as big mama didn't want to miss anymore of this marvelous fight. Her new plan involve to make this particular fight a sensation. In fact, it was supposed to be so great, that the entire hidden city should know about this. She didn't care how much it costs, as she smirked with delight, "chop chop turtly boo, save your little family from getting crushed~"

"You will not use your sword!!!!"

Leo wanted to take a shortcut through one of his portals, but the brothers snapped at him not to. I stood there puzzled what they were yelling about.

Blue pouted the whole time like a kid as we had to walked on foot to the main gates for New York City. And we weren't too far off from one. A Yokai was using this gate to enter the hidden city. He looked confused at Leo, "Shouldn't't you be at the Battle Nexus?"

"What?"

The Yokai stomped his feet in anger, "Aww I bet that you turtles get turned to minced meat".

I raised a brow at Leo, "There are more of you?"

He nodded at me with a smile, while getting annoyed by that Yokai. Talking bad about his brothers got him to use his sword. I watched in surprise as the Yokai fell into that round blue light. Reaching for it, Leo grabbed hand, "No, this is not for you to touch...maybe another time...when I am allowed" refering to the two brothers.

The shrugged, offering me a hand to climb up. Leo stood there, looking back and forth.

"Senior Hueso"

The bone man looked at blue.

"Take her home, I got to deal with this"

He nodded.

"And sweetie"

"It's Y/N"

He chuckled lightly, "Right, I will see you tomorrow at six at the restaurant."

I nodded,"be careful, this battle thingy sounds dangerous"

"Aww are you worried about me?"

I rolled my eyes, "Scratch that, break a leg."

"Rude!"

Suppressing a giggle was not possible, as he pouted playfully. Somehow,despite our bad start, I find him adorable. Let see how this date will turn out.

Yet...

Something feels familiar about this turtle, haven't I seen him before?
