Leo was close to a nervous breakdown begging his father on all fours to go after me.
His brothers never seen him this defeated while Splinter didn't like the situation either.
"My son, what were you thinking?"
Purple sighted, "Probably not much in Leos head."
"HEY!"
Mikey nodded, "This is your own fault Leon."
"Come one don't get all sour on me. Raph what do you say?"
Raphael was the only one that didn't interact in this conversation. His mind was already elsewhere.
"Raph!"
"Huh?"
Leo looked frustrated at his big brother, "I am talking to you. What do you say?"
Everyone looked at the big red turtle. Raph needed a minute before turning to the rat man, "Dad, can we please go?"
Donnie was not happy with it, "And let Leo get away with this?" Mike nodded in approval, as Raph answered, "Do you want to lose a friend?!"
They all got quiet. Red continued, "I like her too much to lose her as a friend. Sure Leo beefed this one but Dad also told us to be true to ourselves." Next he faced the blue turtle, "Leo, are you dead serious about this whole engagement stuff?"
Leo nodded, "I been serous since day one. Why didn't anyone believe me?"
Raph sighted loud before holding his brother close, "okay, we will help you as a family. But let me get something very clear..." he held Leo face close to his, "...if you hurt her or make her cry...I will hunt you down."
"Whoa relax Raph, I would never hurt her"
Purple and Orange stood on Leos side, "Oh yeah?"
Leo held up his hands in defence, "These were all accidents!"
Raph held him close again," Starting today Leo. You will treat her properly."
"This should be good" said Mikey with a hint of sarcasm. Behind Red and blues back he made bets with Donnie how long this will last. Splinter watched the whole situation, "...my sons..."
The all looked up.
"You have my permission to go..."
The boys were ready to cheer as he added ...the minute you are back to be grounded."
"AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he heard them all the way through the lair. Splinter looked up to the ceiling feeling worried, "Be good to her Blue."
Meanwhile I stood there in that jewellery store and was getting blue in the face. The prices for the rings, necklace and other stuff were too much for my pocket. I couldn't even buy anything even if I save up a year for it. "This must be the wrong place" I said below a whisper. A lady came towards me," how may I help you?"
Unsure I showed her the number of the delivery on Leo's phone.
"Ah yes one moment please."
She typed in the number on her computer smiling wide, "Yes it arrived this morning, a beautiful ring." I asked for the price and still, despite having a discount it was still too much for me. Where did he get that cash from, I asked myself mentally. And I must say the ring was truly beautiful. The lady held the box while opening in my direction, the little blue diamond on the ring was truly breathtaking. The longer I looked at it the more questions came to my head. The minute I was out the rain had returned, only stronger.
The turtles had no problem with the weather...
"Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!" ... although the walls are harder to grasp.
"Mikey!" Thankfully to Donnie's tech, he got his brother before he reached the ground. Raph waited of them to return while Leo inspected the jewellery store, "Guys she is already out!"
Now with all brothers together they followed me from above.
"How am I supposed ot tell her about the ring?" asked Leo to himself out loud.
"The truth!" snapped his brothers all together.
"I can't!"
Raph sighted, "You were prepared to get a ring and still can't tell her how you feel?!"
"I am waiting for the right moment."
Mikey and Donnie pointed at me, "There is your moment!"
"Okay, okay! But you won't be near when I tell her?"
Orange and purple were about to protest as Raph held his hands up for them to get silent, "We won't."
Leo's eyes widened as Raph smiled at him, "We trust you to do the right thing?"
Donnie got confused, "We are?", only to get a hit on the head by his big brother.
Leo couldn't believe this given them all a group hug. In that moment they heard me scream. Those mutant dog and cat ran towards me, stealing the bag with the ring. The boy saw how I followed them down the road. Raph got up and got ready to take action, "Boys, it is time to do our duty." All except the blue turtle, he was ordered ot take care of me while the others make sure those mutants won't hurt me.
It wasn't the pain that I was concerned about.
To see that cat mutant to play around with the box was stressing me out. Scared for what Leo would do to me if I lose an expensive ring was more concerning. Like a mug on a table the cat mutant pushed it further towards the manhole. I cursed under my breath at how many open manholes are in New York. The dog mutant was ready to attack me without a warning. Once it was mid air, a glowing red light got my attention. Over me, the dog got hit by Raph's mystic arm and send straight into the next wall. Pleased to see them all here, the cat got more playful.
"Meow, meow, meow"
"Don't you dare!" I threatened seeing the box leaning sideways.
"Meow?"
"I am warning you!"
"...meow..."
"Nooooo!" The cat ran off as my head was inside the manhole looking for the box. It feels to the side of the tunnel. A few feet to the right and it would have been flushed away.
"Oh no"
Leaning a little too much into the hole I fell inside. The boys watched with horror as I disappeared inside the manhole. Leo pushed Raph aside, "You get the ring I get Y/N!" he jumped right in as his brothers followed with their eyes how he was swimming after me.
"I hope they will be fine" said Mikey worried.
"I hope we will be fine" said Donnie pointing at the box. That mutant cat was down there grabbing the boy between its jaws and ran off.
Raph was furious, "Get that cat!"
