I and Erica's mother stood up with alarm, our eyes were wide with shock.

Did he just say that her breath has revived? Is she breathing again? She is alive and has a chance to live? We finally have a chance to live together and be a couple.

"Uh-Yes Mr. Manhattan," The doctor spoke, a little uncomfortable with our reactions. He looked a little scared as if her breathing again was a bad thing. I assure you that it is far from that.

"Can I see her?" I started walking towards the ICU. Hours of waiting to see her again, to touch her again and to hear her speak have rested on this moment.

"Mr. Manhattan! Wait! Mr. Manhattan" The doctor stepped in front of me.

"What!" I snapped. Now that I know she is alive, I won't spare another moment being away from her.

"Sir, her breath may have revived but we still need to keep her under supervision, she's not fully stable. Due to the accident, there are marks on her entire face and body. She is in a bad condition. We have to monitor her for 24 hours so we can give you a proper health report. I'm afraid if something happens to her..." I interrupted before he could finish the sentence. I clenched my fists.

"What do you mean by I'm afraid of?" I mimicked him... I pulled him by his collar. "Listen here? If anything. And I mean anything happens to her I'll kill you. I'll make sure your hospital is a piece of dirt within seconds." No one gets to mess around with Xavier Manhattan.
