Erica POV.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS GUY?

Since when was being nice to someone a bad thing? I thought that if I was nice to him, he would ease up on me, but boy was I wrong! He is the exact opposite of how a normal being would react. When is being pleasant to someone, such a huge mistake when it comes to him. I mean, I am getting a migraine just thinking about how to deal with this guy. Do I have to be a robot like him in order to be spared from his outbursts? 

Stepping over my bag and coat, I threw my notebook and pen on my desk and walked directly to Liz. Grabbing one of the chairs from the waiting area; ignoring the stares I received from visitors, I pushed it to the reception desk and spoke, "I'm going to kill this guy" I seethed as I sat down.

Choking on her coffee, "Woah! Easy there Erica, who and why are you going to kill this guy!?" She spoke after a few minutes once she had calmed down. She was shocked, to say the least.

"Okay long story short, I tried being nice to that jerk and all he did was yell at me. Talk about being chivalrous! But I was fuming and I didn't know what to do besides coming to you." I didn't know whether to crawl up into a ball, hug and cry myself to sleep or to 'accidently' drop scorching hot coffee on Xavier's head. I think the latter sounds much appealing.

"Erica, sweety I know you practically want to kill him, but hold those murderous thoughts for a second." She placed her hands on my shoulders, "He is the Xavier Manhattan. No one gets's to lay eyes on him or order him around except sapph... I me-mean ex-except hi-his family" Liz stuttered on the last part. She tried to hide it but I saw through the act. I know she's hiding something from me. She was stuttering and a stuttering Liz is a lying Liz.

"Elizabeth, what are you hiding?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.

Chuckling nervously, "Nothing babe, I gotta go I have some work to do" And with that she got up to walk away from me without a word.

"Erm Liz, where are you going? Isn't this your work?" I motioned to the files on her desk.

"Oh erm yeah... I need to get something from the security guys." She spoke hurriedly.

What was she hiding? I swear I heard her say something rhyming to fap, or maybe tap maybe sap... I don't know but I'll find out. Right now all I wanna do is finish my work, go home and sleep. I stood up and pushed the chair back to where it belonged and walked back to my cabin.

XAVIER'S POV

I am a complete and utter jerk. I yelled at her again, I saw her eyes go wide with shock and hurt when I snapped at her. Why do I always hurt her in some way or the other? I don't even mean it, it just comes out and I can't control it. She was being so nice to me... wait a minute, why do I even care about what she feels? She's just a stupid P.A! For Christ's sake stop thinking about her. She's invading your mind and making you vulnerable Xavier, you just need to leave her alone. She's messing and worming her way in your head when it should be your princess who is in your mind. You know you love your princess and she can never take her place, so forget her.

How can I even think she's capable of competing with Sapphire? They are on completely different levels, she can never compete with Sapphire.

But then...she was not competing with anyone, she was just being her natural self.

My head was now spinning, and i felt weird sitting there alone. So I decided that I need to go. I can't stand being around her. I picked up my laptop, shoved it into my bag, dashed out of the cabin and ran to my car and went home.

I just need to stay away from Erica. As long as I keep my distance, I should be fine.
