ERICA P.O.V

After Liz rang me and gave me the address to her house, I grabbed my purse and walked out of my house. She sounded urgent, she told me to come to her house ASAP so I didn't want to waste time in getting ready to go to her place.

I hailed a cab and gave the driver the address. The driver took me to a huge building and I was gob smacked. I never knew Liz was so rich! Realizing there were more important things to do besides gawking, I walked inside the building and took the lift to the 11th floor. Once I reached there, I walked out and made my way to apartment number 105. I stood outside and rang the bell.

After a minute, Liz opened the door and her face lit up as she saw me.

''You're on time!'' She chirped pulling me into a tight hug.

''Hello to you too.'' I chuckled as I hugged her back. We went inside the drawing room and sat down. Her place was really beautiful yet elegant. Just like her.

''Your apartment is really beautiful.'' I complimented.

''Thanks to the pocket filling salary Xavier gives me.'' she winked.

We sat there and talked for an hour about anything and everything. You know girls, our conversations can go on forever. Suddenly I remembered something, "Babe, why did you call me last night?''

Liz tensed but quickly composed herself. She looked like she was thinking very hard. ''Well it's about Sapphire.'' She spoke cautiously.

''About who?'' I raised an eyebrow. Her name was muttered a couple of times but I didn't know anything about her. Just that there was a girl called Sapphire.

''Um- She was Xavier's fir-first love'' Liz looked down and I was speechless. Xavier's first love?! Is this woman crazy? That monster can never love anyone! But then again I felt something in my gut. A feeling of.... anger... jealousy and hurt. I didn't understand why I was feeling like this.

''Erica, look I need to tell you something. But you cannot tell anyone, I only trust you on this and I need your help. Do not speak in between and don't ask any questions. Okay?'' she briefed me. I simply nodded.

''Sapphire was Xavier's first love, they were childhood sweethearts and Xavier was head over heels for her. She was like his other half and she loved him whole heartedly. But one day, she left. Left him alone in this world and Xavier's whole world came crashing down. Xavier was broken, even his mental stability was affected. For one whole year, he didn't come out of his house! He stayed in there, not even contacting his family. His family tried everything to help him but to no avail. He didn't want to meet anyone. He became so unstable that he even tried to commit suicide. But thanks to one of his workers, Wendy, he was saved. If they were even a minute late, he could've died. After his suicide attempt, his family never left his side. They stayed with him 24 hours. But with the help of his family, the doctors and psychiatrists he was able to cope with his life after a year. Just as long as the memories were kept at bay, it was tough but he was able to manage it.

However, that was when those scandals started. Xavier slept with every girl he could find just to forget Sapphire, just to forget the pain and agony burning inside him. But the paparazzi people never left him alone, his name was joined with a new model every day on magazines. Everywhere you went, you would see his name written with another. It was madness.

But Xavier didn't care, he didn't stop. All he wanted to do was stop the pain, but it didn't work. He was left with more pain. The once happy Xavier was now just a broken boy. He builds walls around him forbidding anyone to enter them, you can try but he barricades himself and it is pointless. He hated everything and everyone that reminded him of Sapphire. Erica, she was his princess.'' By now Liz broke down and cried harder and harder every second. I wanted to console her, I really did. I wanted to tell her it was okay, but I couldn't because it wasn't.
