You know she is right, it doesn't make sense, and it doesn't make her life any better. I don't know why I didn't see her before I jumped to Kendra, and I don't know why I rushed to think that I was satisfied with Kendra.

'Ooh, boy, are we here again? I mean, you are still depressed about her? You know you saw her first before Kendra, but what were you told?'

Okay, just chill, I don't want you interfering with me when I am trying to think! Man, what's wrong with you? Would you, for once, give me an idea of how to help her?

Fuck, that will never happen because my brain is only good at mocking me every time. I watch her as she flinches and tries to put herself away from me. Why do I feel hopeless, and helpless every time it is her? I don't feel this way around Kendra, I didn't feel mad that she lost her baby. Maybe I was still undecided whether it was mine or not!

"At least, take something, I don't want you to go home hungry." I don't know if this is going to be helpful but I hope my words change her mind. She looks over at the table but can't see any food because they were covered. She sighs and takes a step, going through the tins that are on the small table. She opens the lid and I watch as her head is slightly in the tin, she smiles while allowing the aroma to freely hit her nostrils.  I can't keep myself from taking a snap, remind me to change phones when I get home.

"This is yummy, when did they prepare this?" she asks while grabbing a plate from the side. She places two pieces of drumstick and some vegetables. I know she rarely gets some food for her belly but I hope that this will compensate for it. Maybe I should try and talk to Kendra about the stay arrangement so that we can try and move her from her initial place.  I doubt her sister will want her to have the life. I don't know why but I feel like I still don't understand her family.

"Hey, put more, bring this plate here!" she wants to protest but I am not going to let her just have two drumsticks yet she can have as many as five or more. At least she doesn't pretend with food. If it was someone else, they would have placed a lot of vegetables and claimed how Vegetarian they are.

"Xander, what about we share this plate, and then, when we are done we can add more, keep me company while we eat, we will finish everything."

That sounds convincing, I won't mind listening to her munch the vegetables and tear every part of the drumstick. I pick one lid from the tin and pour the food that was already on the plate and add more.

"Spoons?" she shakes her head and lifts a water bottle, "what is the need for spoons when we have ten fingers to help with the job?" she asks while drowning the water remaining. I search around and find the other three bottles of water, I get two and use one to wash my hands. She has short fingernails, I have nothing to worry myself about.

I raise my eyes to watch her but we meet. She chuckles and then dips her hand in the tray. She looks up again and I can't help but smile watching her hold a drumstick in her hand. She brings it closer to her mouth and takes a bit, her eyes close, she chews it and swallows the contents can be seen moving down her throat, my lips are imagining the taste of her neck, I envy the way the food can pass through her neck but my lips can't touch her lips.

"These are good, really, are they organic?" she asks as she places some vegetables in her mouth. I quickly bite my meat before looking at her, "Yeah, totally organic from Kenya, they have amazing chicken over there, you should visit that place once." she nods and goes ahead to eat her meal.
