I am so sorry about the sudden disappearance of the book. I accidentally unpublished it. But I updated and added an extra chapter just to make up for it! Feel free to message me about anything that you don't like about the book. I love seeing comments. Thank you for the support!!!

I ran out the door. Knocking into the doorframe as I went out.

When I got to the woods line, I tripped on a branch. As I stood up I looked behind me and saw Westley wrestling with someone in the doorway. It seemed as if he was trying to keep them from coming after me.

I couldn't look long enough to see who it was because I turned to keep running. The whole time Sky was yelling at me to turn around.

I blocked her out and continued running. I had been running for almost 30 minutes straight before I heard someone running after me. It had 4 legs. Not two.

Westley was going to get me. If I run hard enough then he can't get me and I can hide from him. I'll just hide the rest of my life. Just as my mom did.

Before I could think of where I would hide first, I felt the ground hit my face. I heard a wolf panting.

Someone was on top of me and I turned over.

I panicked and closed my eyes.

"Westley I'm sorry! D-don't. I listened. I-i didn't do anything wrong. I-i was just doing w-what you said. P-please." I stumbled over my words in a single breath. I felt hands snake around my shoulders and slowly slide to my neck.

He's gonna strangle me. He's gonna kill me for running so far.

"Westley please stop. I'm sorry. I'll do anything. Anything at all. Just, please. Give me another chance." I was practically screaming.

"Nova stop. It's just me. It's me. Please calm down." I opened my eyes to see David. He was right in front of me.

He had pain and stress and worry and sadness written all over his face.

"David...?" I felt like I was dreaming. It was like he wasn't real.

He touched my face and I flinched. He growled and my eyes went wide.

His eyes saddened even more and he put his hands up in surrender.

"I'm sorry. I-i didn't mean to scare you. Are you ok?" He got closer and put his hand on my face. His thumb traced the cut on my face and he clenched his teeth.

"I'm gonna kill him." He sigh and took a deep breath. "Let's get you back so I can clean you up. You look like you haven't eaten since I last saw you." He gets up and helps me to stand.

"No. No, I can't go with you." I pull away from him. All the tension I didn't realize was gone, came crashing back.

He looked at me, puzzled. "What do you mean? I told you I would come back for you. I'm not leaving without you, Nova."

I backed up again. "I can't. H-he'll kill me." I whispered.

"Nova. Baby. I have him on the way to the pack prison. He won't hurt you. He will never hurt you again." He stepped closer but I kept backing up.

"No. You don't understand," I closed my eyes, "you don't get it. He's going to kill me, David. I can't go to the pack house. I won't." My back hit a tree and I jumped.

"OK. OK let's take it one thing at a time. How about we go back to the house you were at? I can clean you up there and we can talk about it ok? How's that sound?" I nodded my head and took hesitant steps toward him.

He put an arm around me and held me close. In his warmth, I felt safe. I felt like everything would be ok.

After a few minutes of walking, I felt my legs getting weak. I kept walking for another 10 minutes before they started to shake.
