A dream or was it?

Once upon a nightmare I was woken up with an ear piercing shriek. As I stumbled out of my bed I tripped and no sooner had I hit the ground the screaming stopped and all I could see was blood soaking the floor - was it mine? Jumping up and rushing to the bathroom I realized that I had been nothing but clean, not a single speck of red, was I dreaming? I start running through the halls, I cannot find a maid anywhere nor my father, just an old castle with the lights flickering and flickering almost as if it was mocking me.
I fell asleep on the floor or maybe I passed out either way I had awoken on the floor with a maid above me saying, "Wake up Amber! wake up!" I opened one eye and then the other, not sure how I managed to get on this old dusty floor in the basement of the castle. "Are you okay ma'am?" Ms. Lila asked before telling one of the other maids to fetch some water from the kitchen. "Yes, thank you, but how did I end up down here?" She did not know, for I was down here when she came to do the laundry this afternoon.
I began to wander back to my room where it was dark from the black curtains and warmth filling in due to the beautiful summer day. I wish with all my heart that I could go out into the world and feel the sunlight on my skin, oh how wonderful I imagine that feeling could be.
'Tis evening now and everyone is downstairs talking at the table, nothing interesting per usual. "You know what?" I say really loud so everyone can hear me. "I am done listening to all of this nonsense can we talk about our day or even just some more interesting events that may be going on at the moment or will be coming upon us soon for f**ks sake." Everyone turned to me in disbelief and everyone became so quiet you could hear a pin drop, but then that silence was broken by a guard running in yelling, "Get to the basement now!" We all ran. I have no idea what is going on, worry gathering up into my stomach so slowly that I might explode at any second.
