In this au, MK gets a second chance to go back in time to how the events of s3 started, so he can find a way to prevent Mei from becoming the samadhi fire. Although MK will still have his memories from the events of s3, the others, including Wukong...
(A.N.: As I have promised from chapter 8: Amnesia wounds (and a name once forgotten)...there will be blood mentioned in this chapter. I'll put a warning on "when" you guys get to the part.

It's around the afternoon as the sun is setting, and a bird can be seen sitting on a rock, as it begins to shiver due to a cold gust of wind blowing at its direction...but then the T.E.A van then drove by as it sends snow at the bird as it then looked surprised, but then glared at the van in annoyance.

As the group is driving their way to find Lantern City, where they will find the third ring, Sandy has a happy look on his face while driving, while Pigsy is in the front seat taking a nap, while Mei's parents are sitting behind them.
MK is sitting in the back of the van next to a table while drawing, something that he can do in the meantime until they reach Lantern City. But as MK is drawing, his artistry had surprisingly improved to the point where the art style of his drawings are the same as the ones in Tang's book...thanks to some pointers from the Pilgrims, whenever MK had a break from training.
MK: "Hmm." He hummed while scratching his chin, wondering which color should he choose next for one of his drawings.
Mei: "So, what you doing, MK?" She asked in curiosity as she appeared from his right, as she then looks through the neat pile of drawings MK made. But as she was about to look at two that she had picked to look at, Monkey King took them from Mei's hands, as he is lying down on his magic cloud.
MK: "Just drawing." He answered as he went back to drawing, while Monkey King looked at the drawings as he has a surprised look on his face, as Mei looked at Monkey King with an annoyed look on her face.
Monkey King: "Have your art skills improved, bud?" He questioned in an impressed tone, as Mei tries to take the drawings from Monkey King's hand, as he looks at Mei with a confused look on his face.
Tang then appears from the other side of the table, while having a curious look on his face.
Tang: "Oh." He said as he looks through so of the drawings. "Did you do any drawings of me, MK?" He asked as he did a pose on the floor.
