Yoongi hardly ever understands what's going on anymore. The last thing he remembers is his best friend Siwoo gently tracing the T mark on his shoulder with his cold hand and telling Yoongi something that he can't quite recall.
It's weird, however. Yoongi vaguely remembers being so upset that his best friend was moving schools. He remembers how everything suddenly hit him at once— his best friend was suddenly leaving him— but Siwoo is here with him now, and he hasn't left at all.
And it's years in the future, somehow.
And Yoongi is a vampire..?
At first, he thought it was all a dream. He had six strange men and an elderly lady with all their eyes on him. And Siwoo suddenly appeared, so Yoongi immediately went to him; Siwoo is who he remembers.
But why would his dream consist of a bunch of other men, in the future, and with him being a vampire? It was a silly thought that probably would've made him laugh, if not for the fact that some hot guy randomly threw himself at Siwoo and tried to beat him up after calling Yoongi baby multiple times and claiming to be his boyfriend- which is crazy.
Now, however, Yoongi hasn't woken up from this dream and everything feels a little too real. Especially the whole vampire thing. He feels and sees every little thing— there's no way he's dreaming these feelings to strongly.
So it's real.
This is real life.
Siwoo took him to his house and offered him all sorts of explanations; he told Yoongi to stay away from those boys he'd seen before, told him they're incredibly bad news and that Park Jimin was his ex boyfriend who left him years ago.
When Yoongi asked him about his memory and how he's a vampire, Siwoo told him that he turned him into a vampire to stay friends with him for forever and that things went wrong in the process, making him go into a coma.
"Silly Yoongi," he had laughed. "Don't believe those boys who tried to trick you just because they don't like me. You didn't lose your memory, you just woke up and it happened to be during a fight I was having with those idiots. Don't go near them."
Maybe Siwoo had bitten Yoongi wrong. Maybe he'd hit his best friend on the back of the head and called him dumb for biting him without permission and sending him into a coma.
Siwoo brushed it off, though.
"You're all good now," he'd told Yoongi. "Let's just go to school like normal humans. You can't go back to your house just yet. Stay with me and I'll teach you everything you need to know about us vampires."
Yoongi didn't know whether to feel bitter towards his friend or not. He still hardly believed any of this was real.
"Fine."
But that was weeks ago and now Yoongi is confused when he sees Siwoo's ex and his friends at school. He's never seen those guys before, yet every time his eyes lock in with any of theirs and he quickly looks away, he can't help but feel a little shocked.
It's like every time their eyes meet, he finds a sort of familiarity that shouldn't be there. And he's heard all sorts of hateful things that those guys have done to Siwoo, but how come every time they're in the same room, those six guys all glare so harshly at Siwoo? Should Yoongi glare back at them or what?
"If he's the one who left you, then why does he keep staring daggers into you?" Yoongi asks.
There's a sudden snapping sound that makes Yoongi jump and look over at Siwoo, who's holding a split apple in his hand. He glares across the cafeteria, but looks Yoongi in the eyes and scowls.
"I told you not to worry about them."
Yoongi frowns to himself and lets his head drop, but not without stealing another glance towards the group across the cafeteria.
If there's one thing about Yoongi, it's that he's never going to let anyone think they can step on him or his friends. He decides then and there that he's going to confront those boys and tell them to back off— he knows they're vampires as well, but so be it.
After the bell ends lunch time, him and Siwoo normally go separate ways. So, Yoongi goes straight towards the door and is ready to confront the idiots who keep glaring at his friend.
He notices that the group of boys are about to leave their table, but they all look up at Yoongi and see that he's walking towards them.
"What do you think you're doing?"
Suddenly Yoongi's arm is grabbed and pulled back hard, and he comes face-to-face with Siwoo, who's furrowing his brows and glaring angrily at Yoongi.
"Let me go," Yoongi says, pulling away from his hold with a slight fit. "Gosh. I was just gonna tell them to back off. No need to get your panties in a twist."
Siwoo squints at him.
Yoongi doesn't understand the extent to Siwoo and his ex's past, apparently.
"I told you not to go near them, Yoongi."
He can see out of the corner of his eye that one of the boys has a clenched jaw and another is gripping so tightly onto the corner of the cafe table that he might break it.
"Fine," Yoongi says. "I won't pry into your business then. Let them keep staring, I guess."
He almost calls Siwoo a coward for not standing up to those guys, but he also nearly calls him a jerk for snapping at him so harshly for just trying to help.
Yoongi wouldn't attempt to pry if it weren't for the fact that he feels like there's much more going on, though. He can almost feel the rage coming from that group's table.
Perhaps he's a little curious.
Perhaps some things never change.
