"Taehyungie!""Yoongi?"
Yoongi runs excitedly towards Taehyung's bed. Hoseok is behind him in the doorway to Taehyung's room, but Yoongi is so excited to bounce up on the mattress.
"Taehyungie," he repeats with a big smile on his face. It's obvious that Taehyung is confused with his wide and curious eyes. He sits up on his bed and looks over at Hoseok, then back to Yoongi, his eyebrows creased together.
"Did I miss something?"
Yoongi giggles. "I want to show you something."
"He dragged me somewhere today," Hoseok explains as he steps up next to the bed. Taehyung looks extremely confused, but waits patiently. "I think you'll like it. It was Jimin's idea, but—"
"Oh, god," Taehyung lets out. Yoongi laughs and playfully nudges his arm.
"Shush," he says. "Just look." Yoongi turns around on the bed, on his knees, and he begins lifting his sweater off of his back. Yoongi can hear the confused huh? from Taehyung as he starts stripping the sweater, but it turns into a gasp not too long after.
"Oh my god."
Taehyung grazes his fingers beneath the fresh tattoo on Yoongi's shoulder; he dragged Hoseok with him before morning was over and now Yoongi has a fresh purple T mark inked into his skin once again.
"You said it disappeared when I turned into a vampire," Yoongi says. He turns around, letting his sweater fall back down and smiling once he sees the glint in Taehyung's eyes. "It looks exactly like it did before, right? I showed the tattoo artist photos of it and—"
Yoongi's words get cut off with an oof as Taehyung lunges forward and wraps his arms around his shoulders. He hugs him tight and Yoongi thinks he might break a few of his bones if he isn't careful.
"It's beautiful," Taehyung says. It makes Yoongi feel butterflies swarm all around in his tummy. It feels amazing.
There's an awkward cough beside them before Hoseok speaks up again. "I'll just go find Jungkookie or something," he tells them. Taehyung pulls away from hugging Yoongi and smiles up at him, almost a smirk.
"Have fun." He sounds teasing. Hoseok once again clears his throat before he heads out of the bedroom and shuts the door behind him. Yoongi suddenly feels a little nervous. "Wow," Taehyung lets out, still smiling away. "I can't believe you got the mark back on you."
Yoongi chuckles. "I had it all my life," he tells him. "It felt weird not having it on me anymore. It became a part of me."
"It was a part of you."
"Yeah." Yoongi nods, smiling as well. "And it'll always be a part of me now."
He can tell by how lit up Taehyung's eyes are that he genuinely loves what Yoongi's done with the tattoo. And because Taehyung is so happy with it, it makes Yoongi— who was already excited about it— even more excited to have it on his skin once more.
Taehyung ruffles Yoongi's hair, still smiling. "I love it, Yoongi." His hand gently falls to Yoongi's cheek and it causes Yoongi's eyes to automatically fall to Taehyung's lips.
Maybe it's muscle memory. Maybe it's just Yoongi's natural reaction. Either way, Yoongi thinks that right here and right now, he'd love to kiss his somewhat? boyfriend. It seems that Taehyung thinks similarly because he leans forward and as gentle as ever, he presses his forehead against Yoongi's.
Yoongi closes his eyes and inhales the familiar scent of whatever that damn wonderful shampoo Taehyung uses; he smells like strawberries and Yoongi has always been one to love fruit. The fruit scent is heavy and he can feel Taehyung about to lean into his lips—
A knock on the door makes Yoongi jump back quickly and if his heart hadn't stopped weeks ago, it would be beating hard right now. Taehyung looks irritated now, but he backs away and glares at the door.
"Come in, Jungkook." Yoongi has no idea how he knew who was at the door, but it clicks open and Jungkook comes into view.
"Hi," he says with a big grin on his face. He looks young with his big brown Bambi eyes. "I wanna see hyung's tattoo too."
Yoongi giggles at how Taehyung roles his eyes, but then he raises his eyebrows in confusion as Taehyung tells him, "Don't look for too long, you brat."
Jungkook groans. "Hyung, that's so in the past now." Yoongi doesn't quite understand, but he also isn't sure if he wants to know what exactly happened in the past. He shrugs it off and turns his back to Jungkook, lifting his shirt and showing him the tattoo.
"Wahh," Jungkook lets out. "Nice tattoo, hyung."
Yoongi smiles, but then a sharp pain suddenly hits his head and for some reason, words are hitting him back to back.
"Nice tattoo," Jungkook says.
"Jungkook, this isn't a tattoo."
"It's not—?"
The seemingly familiar words dissipate as he feels fingers ease over the tattoo. He turns to Taehyung, his mind still a bit in a daze, but he comes back down to earth as he realizes the gentleness of Taehyung's hand caressing him.
"It's a beautiful tattoo," he reminds Yoongi.
Yoongi should come up with something else to say, maybe a compliment in return or at least a thanks, but he's so confused about what his brain just conjured up. He sits in silence and just nods, hardly focusing as Taehyung and Jungkook say their goodbyes— Yoongi gives a simple wave and weak smile.
"Do you want to watch a movie or something, Yoongi? Or write some more?"
What he really wants is to know how and why he was just hit with a sudden flashback like that. He'd done nothing differently than he had in the past few weeks. Is the memory loss fading away? Is he starting to remember again? Or did something or someone trigger a flashback? Jungkook? Taehyung? How did it happen? Why did it happen?
"Um, yeah... Let's watch a movie."
He ignores it for now.
