I woke up to my head pounding. My mom walked in a few minutes later. "How's your first hangover treatin' ya?" She asked a little too enthusiastic.

"Terribly." I groaned. "I'm sorry mom." I sighed looking up at her. "Yeah. Your gonna be even more sorry when you find out your grounded." She smiled. I lied back down on my pillow.

"What happened? How did I get home? Who got Parker?" I gasped realizing I didn't get to get Parker from the curtis's. "Sodapop brought you home and I had to go pick up Parker at 10:30." Then she thought for a second. "Oh and you threw up all over Soda." She added. I gasped.

"No I didn't!" "Yeah, you might wanna give him a call." My mom added patting my leg. "I really am sorry mom. I- I thought I'd be cool if I drank and I thought sodapop would think i was cool." I sighed. "Isn't this the sodapop who doesn't drink..?" She asked. I rolled my eyes. "I never said it made sense, that's just what went through my head."

"You never have to do what you don't wanna do, or Change your self to get people to like you Robyn I want you to know that. I love you the way you are." She put her hand on my cheek and I rested my head against it. She kissed my forehead. "But you still are very much grounded." I laughed and nodded. "Wait mom?" She turned around. "Can I have an aspirin?"

I took a deep breath before dialling The Curtis house number. It rang a few times but then someone answered. "Hello?" Ponyboy. "Oh pony boy" "Hi Robyn. how are you feeling?" He asked. "Better did ya finish that book?" "Gone with the wind? Yeah! It was really good I can bring it back later." He raved.

"You can keep it ponyboy- I've read it enough." There was a pause. "Really?? I couldn't-" "please take it." I smiled to myself. "Thanks Robyn!" "No problem- but could you do me a favour and get soda on the line for me?" I asked twirling the phone cord around my finger.

"Oh yeah sure." He quickly responded. "Thanks, pone." The line was silent for a second before soda came. "Hello?" "Hey soda." I almost whispered. "Oh Robyn! How are ya feeling?" "I'm okay- I just wanted to apologise for last night.. you probably didn't like getting thrown up on- and driving me home." I heard a chuckle across the line.

"That's okay Birdie. I still had a good time, plus, you only threw up on me, not the car that would have been a different story." I laughed and could practically see his goofy smile across the line.

"Would you maybe like to go out for lunch or dinner later?" Soda asked. "Ah I would, but I'm very grounded so it might have to be on break tomorrow or something." "Oh okay sure- good luck with that." he laughed. "Bye Birdie." "Bye soda."

I was about to walk away when the phone rang again. I figured soda forgot something, but a feminine voice greeted the phone. "Robyn?" "Evie? How'd you get my number?" I asked. "Steve." She giggled. "Oh. That checks out." I smiled.

"I just wanted to apologise for the influence I had on you last night. I didn't know it would effect you that much." She added. "Eh it wasn't your fault. In responsible for my own actions." "Oh well uh nice talking to you hopefully we can hang out again." "Thank you Evie, bye." I said. "Bye."
