"There's this guys car I'm fixing right now who thinks I should change his tires for free because he said that the car should just 'come with tires that don't need to be changed.'" Soda in quotation marks as I checked someone out at the DX counter.

"I don't think people like that should be driving cars at all." I shrugged. "Totally." Soda responded when a soc entered the store. I felt sodapop immediately tense from beside me. "Hey pretty lady. Think I can get this pack of beer for a discount?" The soc asked

"Uh no, we don't randomly give out discounts so your total is.. $5.35." I said as kindly as I could've.
"That's not how this is gonna go." The soc said firmly. "It's not?" I said a little more smart than I intended. The soc quickly flipped out his switch blade and held it against my chin.

"Look I tried to do it the easy way." He growled. "HEY!" Soda yelled flicking out his own switchblade. My breath was ridged as I tried to calm myself down. "Let go of her or I'll call the fuzz. And I don't think an arrest'll look to pretty on your perfect record." Soda mouthed.

The soc snarled and dropped me like I was some object. I picked myself back up dusting myself off. Soda and I were silent until we heard the DX door and we exhaled at the same time. "That was intense." I sighed. "Tell me about it." Soda mumbled.

"Hey guys let's close up." Steve popped in completely oblivious to what just happened. "What? Why are you guys all white?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Well that's a way to end a shift." Soda said as he locked the DX door. "What if we don't have to end it there?" I asked and soda cocked and eyebrow at me. "What?" "What if we just yknow.. walk around." "That sounds nice, yeah." Soda nodded.
"But we gotta stop at mine to let my mom know. She has today off." "Okay let's go."
"Mom! I'm gonna go into town with sodapop!" I called into the house. "Okay! Don't have too much fun if you know what I m-" I closed the door before she could finish her sentence turning red. Soda just laughed at me.
"Hey look- a record store." I said peeking through the window. "Let's go in." Soda said holding the store door for me. I walked inside and I was in awe. I mean I've been interested in music in the past but this store was so cool.
I walked down the isles and Isles of records until I found Elvis and me and soda smiled at each other. I picked up a random album and put it in the vinyl. It started playing and me and soda just hummed along to the song. I started getting into it and danced a bit. Soda just watched me until I had an idea.
I grabbed his hand and he gave me a funny look. "Dance with me." I beamed. "Oh Robyn- I can't dance." Soda said shaking his head. "Everyone says that until they try. Come on, this isn't dancing with the stars. And you never know when you'll need to know how to dance you'll thank me someday."I said making soda laugh and finally accept my hand.
I started swaying back and forth. sodapop followed, rested his hands on my waist. Soda lifted his arm up twirling me making me giggle.
Sodapop
We swayed back and forth in each others arms as I occasionally twirled Robyn. We definitely weren't professionals, but that's what made it fun. We danced talked, and laughed until the guy that owned the store kicked us out when it was time for closing.
Dancing with Robyn Grace was Amazing and I hope I get too again.
Really short chapter- and I HATE how I wrote this chapter but hopefully it ties in how I want it too 🙃 (663 words)
