Chapter 19

CHAPTER 19

" Marry you ? ", I said while turning around.

" Yeah. I got the ring and everything. Now all I need is a yes ", said Trevante.

I saw him turn on the lamp by the bed and reach under the pillow and pull out a black box. Trevante now walked over to my side of the bed. He got down on one knee and he was still taller than me. It was quite the sight to see.

" Oh....my god Trevante ", I said while looking up at him in disbelief. I was crying now.

" Are you sure......? ", I said with fearful eyes. This time it was not joke. I was really concerned. Him and I being so young was one thing but him wanting me to be his wife was another. Sometimes I felt like I was holding him back.

" I've never been more sure about anything that I've ever wanted ", said Tre as he looked at me and back down at the box.

" Besides it'll be a couple of years before we actually can get married. You'd need parental consent if I wanted to marry you sooner. I treat you like my wife anyways so we might as well. Besides....fiancé sounds much better than girlfriend. Don't you think ? What do we have to lose ? ", said Trevante with a grin.

" YESYESYESYESYESSS YES!!!", I said before jumping on him causing him to fall back in the floor. I straddled his lap and snatched the box out of his hand while carefully picking up the ring and sliding it  on my finger.

" WOOOWWW", I said in disbelief as I saw how the diamonds sparkled in the light.

" I was suppose to ....do that ", said Trevante in a flat tone underneath me.

" Oh sorry ", I said while looking down at him.

I placed my hands on his chest and looked down at him and I straddled his body. Trevante was just laughing at my wild antics like always. I slowly leaned down and kissed him on the lips slowly. I felt his hand at the back of my neck as he kissed me back on the hotel floor.

" I love you ", I said against his cheek.

" I love you more ", said Trevante with a chuckle.

Trevante lifted us up and plopped us back down into the messy bed. He was laying ontop of me now and I enclosed him into me with my legs and thighs. We fell asleep just like that.

" Do we really have to drive all the way there like this. Can we just get a plane or something ", I said.

" You don't wanna take the road trip with me ? I thought you loved my company ", said Tre with a big goofy smile on his face.

" I do but it's a car ", I said with a whine.

" It's a pretty spacious car considering how much I spent on it ", said Tre.

" Fine ", I said not willing to argue with him. I suppose there would be other road trips in the future.

It was about 5am so we headed down to Florida with an early start. Once we got in the car and headed back to Florida I looked out the window. The city was so nice. Miami was beautiful too but Atlanta was new to me. It reminded me of how much I loved the city. The first hour or two was just pure silence. I didn't have much to say and that was okay. Sometimes me and Trevante didn't have to say much to each other. Sometimes it felt like we were talking even when we weren't. I guess it was the connection....or maybe I was crazy. Probably crazy.

We now had seven hours left and I was staring to get hungry. I laid back in my seat and looked at Trevante. Trevante looked down at me and laughed. Either I was predictable or we really did feel the same thing.
