Chapter 28

CHAPTER 28

" Revenge ", Tre rolled the word on his tongue trying it out.

" I'll go back home and pack you a bag. You aren't going back to the house. He probably already knows where we live. I'll bring the dogs and the cat. I'll bring the clothes. I'm gonna find a house a soon as possible and get us moved the fuck out of there. It's not safe there anymore. Flaco, Rico. Watch her. I'll be back ", trevante started to walk out the door.

" But Tre I - ", he cut me off.

" Do as I say y/n. Shut it the hell up. I don't wanna hear what you have to say right now. Go in the office please ", tre walked out and got in the car.

I looked down in an embrassed manner and sat down on the couch. I had been somebody who ran the company for the past five years. I had earned the title of a boss. I exuded the aura of a strong woman for so many years and to be shut down in such a manner was sort of embarrassing. I understood how much trevante cared for me but now I knew that I would no longer have a say so in any business affairs. I wasn't trying to claim this company as my own but I wanted trevante to see that I was capable of being just as reliable as one of his boys. Everybody looked at me strangely before turning back to do there jobs. I slowly walked to his office and shut the door behind myself.

I sat at the desk and browsed on the internet mindlessly just trying to pass time. I was still in a sad mood from what happened earlier. I had to admit that when it came to trevante I was overly sensitive. He was the only one who did that to me. 1 hour later I heard trevante come on with the dogs. A knock on the door startled me. I opened up to see none other than Tre.

" The animals are in the spare room. I'm gonna try to find us a house by tomorrow hopefully ", Tre came in and sat down in the desk seat. I went and sat across from him and sat down to read a book that I had been meaning to finish.

" Thank god the lease is almost up. Otherwise I'd be pissed ", Tre thought out loud.

" Hopefully I can bribe them with a little extra cash. I bribed them last time to give it to me same day so I think they might let us leave tomorrow ", Tre typed on his computer.

" Your clothes are in the bedroom. I packed a lot of shit  ", tre looked up at me.

" Y/n ", Tre called my name.

" Yeah ", I looked up from my book.

" Are you even listening ", tre said in an irritated tone.

" Yeah, of course ", I gave Tre a lopsided smile and looked down at my book.

" What's the problem ", tre asked.

" Nothing hun. I'm listening. Thankyou for everything ", I looked up at him and back down at my book. I just wanted to brush past the situation. There was no point in talking about it. I knew trevante's intentions were good.

Trevante slowly stood up from his chair and closed his laptop. I continued to look down at my book. I felt him slowly walk over to my side of the desk and stand in front of me. Then he slowly slid the book out of hands folding the paper to make sure I didn't lose my chapter.

" What are you doing ", I looked up at him with concerned eyes.

" What. Is. Wrong ", trevante used a serious tone.

" Nothing I just feel like....", I stood up now and distance myself from him.

" What is it ", trevante started walking towards me. I started to get nervous again so I looked down.

" While you were gone I...put everything into what you left behind. When you told me to...me to be quiet by the door it made me worried. I don't want you to think that I'm not capable in having a hand in your company. I don't want you to think I'm not capable of protecting myself ", I spoke quietly. Now trevante stood in front of me.
