Chapter 30 (Trying to Leave)

CHAPTER 30

Tre hadn't been responding to my texts so I got dressed. I was gonna go dress shopping again.

" Just 2 more dresses hun ", Linda bribed.

" TWO more, if one of these don't work we are going with the one I bought off Amazon ", I laughed.

" Hell NO ", Tammy exasperated.

I tried on the 30th dress and it didn't work but when I tried on the very last dress I fell in love instantly. This is the one.

"Oh my god....", I gasped. The dress hugged me perfectly.

" This is the dress!", Linda yelled. She walked over to me and looked closer at the dress.

" GORGEOUS ", Tammy exclaimed.

" I love this ! ",  Abuela added.

" Yeah...and it only took us two days to find it. Better than I thought we'd do. I feel pretty lucked out ", I spun in my dress.

The dress came out to 400,00 and it was custom made one of a kind. The train on the dress was very long and it had a beautiful long laced vail to match it. I paid for the dress in full. Since I had millions of dollars in my bank account I could afford the dress. Trevante would surely be upset with me if he knew I paid for it with my own money but I didn't care.

I could have asked him to pay but I didn't want to. Being with somebody as rich as trevante did have it's perks I'm not gonna lie. I've only dreamt of being able to see the things that trevante has showed me and for that I'm extremely blessed and thankful.

After paying for the dress I got Tre's mom to keep it at her house so that trevante wouldn't peep a look at it. Getting the dress was the final step of the wedding planning. Everything was done including the cake tasting and choosing the venue for the wedding. The wedding was coming up soon and I was trying not to think too hard about it.

Me and linda went out to eat with just us after the dress shopping. Dinner was on me tonight to thank her for her patience. We had grown so close these past few months. She was practically a second mom to me, I could tell her anything.

" Thanks for coming with me. I didn't think you'd have that much patience with me. Lord knows how indecisive I can be ", I chuckled.

" I LOVED it. I've always wanted to help with my daughters wedding. You'repractically like my daughter now so my dream came true. Hopefully ruby will be next ", Linda smiled and took a sip of her drink.

" The wedding is in 7 weeks. I'm so nervous. I'm nervous for marriage ", I looked down in a guilty manner.

" Why would you be nervous for marriage though. It's a beautiful thing ", linda looked up at me with tender eyes.

" I don't know I- I....", I started to get emotional.

Linda didn't say a thing she just rested her hand on mine.

" Me and Tre have been doing through a rough patch. We've been fighting like cats and dogs. He doesn't hear me. Sometimes it's too much ", I wiped my face.

" Every couple gets to a point to were they feel like things might not make it. Relationships can reveal the most ugly things in the person that they've kept buried. When it sprouts it's head, it's your decision if you're staying for better or for worse. If you truly love one another then you will find a way to work. I know it's dark right now but you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel  ", Linda patted my hand.

I shook my head and changed the subject. The drive home was depressing as hell. I was hurting.

I came home at 11pm after dinner with tre's mom. Usually tre would be home at this time but then again he's a fucking criminal so he has no curfew or schedule. When tre needed to handle business he usually did it during the day time but sometimes it wasn't a definite. I took my shower and relaxed while having a glass of wine on the couch. Scandal was on tonight and I was really getting into it. Before I knew it I finished the whole season and was flipping through channels.
