Chapter 31: All Caught on Stream

Suddenly, Jade's voice appears, "And there we have it."

Jamil becomes startled to hear the voice and turns behind him with a shocked look on his face. He looks to see Jade, Floyd, Briar and her Ramshackle Group arrive on the scene, much to Jamil's shock.

Grim smirks and says, "So, you finally show your true colors! I bet you thought you were real slick, pullin' the wool over our eyes!"

"How... How much did you hear?" Jamil asks, stunned.

"All of it, from start to finish. Your entire conversation from the moment you left the lounge... has been live streamed to the world from Azul's smartphone," Jade answers, holding Azul's smartphone.

"WHAT?!" Jamil exclaims in shock and dismay

Jade continues, "Azul's Magicam livestream presently has five thousand active viewers. It's trending online under the topic: 'A Certain Magicians' School's Dirty Little Secret.' It's your moment in the sun, Vice Housewarden. Naturally, all the dorm students are gathered in the lounge, watching you."

Suddenly, the group hears footsteps and it turns out to be some of the students of Scarabia walking to the scene in complete shock.

One student asks in shock, "Vice Housewarden Jamil, is everything you just said true?"

Have you really been deceiving us this whole time?!" The second student asks.

"Talk about a wolf in sheep's clothing! You're a fraud, through and through!" Grim says.

"Yeah. You tricked everyone, including us," Jasper adds.

Jamil tries to object, "Y-you... You've got it all wrong. I..."

But Jade says, "Don't even try to talk your way out of this one. The mind control magic you used on Azul is hard evidence. Jamil... It's been you all along. You've been using your signature spell on Kalim and making him throw Scarabia into chaos!"

Jamil becomes shocked, "Gh...!"

He then calms himself and says, "I was trying to avoid escalating matters, but you leave me no choice."

Then turns to Azul, "Azul, I command you! Subdue and restrain them all."

"...Yes, Master," Azul says, dazed.

Jade calls out, "Azul, no. You don't want to do this. Snap out of it."

"Pleading with him won't help!" Jamil says.

"Yes. I am Jamil's loyal minion..." Azul says.

But suddenly, says, "...or at least, you wish I was."

"What?!" Jamil reacts, stunned and confused.

"Jamil, you said the funniest thing to me earlier. Allow me to return the favor," Azul says, "You thought I was an arrogant magician, but you were sorely mistaken. An embarrassing misjudgment for the vice housewarden of Scarabia—the dorm that embodies the spirit of mindfulness."

Confused and shocked, Jamil asks, "What's going on? I know you made eye contact. I had you under control!"

Azul brushes it off and says, "Please. I'm a competent magician. I always prepare for all eventualities before I act. Isn't that right, Floyd?"

"I think you let your guard down a little too soon there, Sea Snake," Floyd says, but he says it in a deep voice.

That catches Briar and the others off guard.

Grim yelp, "MRAH! What's with your voice?!"

"When did your voice sound so deep?" Sereia asks, shocked
