My parents do start their conversation with the same line I thought. Sometimes even I expect them to ask me about how was my day but all I get is disappointment. Then they go on to tell me how their business will reach a new height if they become business partners with the richest business family The Abel and the details about their family. This dinner invitation was already suspicious but my doubt was starting to get clear in my mind. I interfered with my father by telling him that I thought I was invited to dinner served with food not their talks about their business meeting. I knew what was coming and I did not want to reach that point. There was a knock and we were cut off by Lina informing us that the dinner was served. I let out a sigh and got up from my sit to proceed towards the dinner table.

As we sat to eat there was silence but there was tension too that was making me feel suffocated. As I was about to open my mouth my mother spoke " Arura what do think about marriage", I snapped my head towards my parents with a look of are you serious? I am not really ready for marriage and I feel marriage is a barrier to a brighter independent future for a person above all I'm fucking gay, am I supposed to live like a straight woman just because of a stupid business partnership like wtf, this is was I was thinking when my mother was talking and didn't much attention just like my parent didn't pay attention to me in 21 years of my life. " mom, dad you know I'm too young to get married and I've told you I'm attracted to women, not men how can you expect me to marry a man and lead the rest of my life". My parents were staring at me like I have grown an extra hand "you weren't paying attention were you?". " Not I wasn't just like both of you didn't to you" I said smiling sarcastically. 

I could see my father clenching his jaws what he didn't like is disrespectful people but today I knew he would not tell me anything cause you know to treat your sheep properly before slaughtering them. As I picked up the glass to drink water my father said "it's the daughter we are talking about" never in my life have I ever choked this scary, I was coughing continuously that making my cheeks, ears and nose go red and my eyes became teary. After a few taps on my back, I came back to my normal state but I was still shocked by my dad's words. Mom continues and says "it's the daughter of Abel we want you to get married" and hands me a file with hardly one paper in it and tells me to look into it. The fact is that I have heard about Blue kites and its owner but I have never seen and girl standing with them in public I have seen only 3 people in most of the pictures. Without realising I was already looking at the open file, her biodata is given.
