Aurora's Pov

I only learned that Athena is a completely closed book in a week. Even if I stand in front of her it's impossible to see what she is thinking. He comes home quite late most of the night in this one week. But I have noticed exhaustion in her eyes and emptiness. It gets me wondering which type of person she is.

My college starts tomorrow and I am fucking nervous about the reactions of people at the college, what about my crush what the fuck. It was currently 9 pm and I was having pasta that the maid cooked for me before going. I was about to finish when I heard the front door unlocking and Athena entered locking the door behind her.

She looked up and our eyes met she gave me a small smile," you are home early today?", she looked at me and replied normally," there wasn't a lot of work at the office so I decided to come home" I nodded, " are you hungry? I could make you something", "not really..." that's when her stomach rumbled " she reached back of her neck and said" well maybe a little bit but no need to go through the trouble of cooking I will eat something from the refrigerator" I let out a small laugh and she looked embarrassed, so cute.

I felt like being sassy and saying so you think your refrigerator has something to eat but then she keeps her composure while talking so I wasn't going to make a bad impression on her. " There is nothing to eat in the refrigerator the cook said she will buy it on her way here tomorrow right now there is only macaroni and cheese and cream with what only mac and cheese can be cooked shall I cook it for you?", she looked hesitant, " it's okay it's not trouble anyhow I do nothing the whole day so I will be fine" I was looking at her waiting for reply " okay then I will just freshen up and come to help you" she went towards her room and I let out a small chuckle and stood up from my chair to start the preparation for her food. It wasn't that hard to talk to her you just needed to start the conversation with her and she looked really cute when embarrassed, stop! what the fuck am I thinking.

After about 30 minutes later she came downstairs and entered the kitchen and asked if she could with anything but I said there is nothing she has to help with so she could just sit and wait. I don't like when someone else is there in the kitchen when I am working but I cannot just tell that right? We aren't even that close. She got a call and went outside the kitchen to talk she was right outside the kitchen but I couldn't hear her even a little bit I was kind of impressed by her manners, it is so elegant and disciplined.

I was so focused on my cooking that I didn't even realize she was sitting on her chair facing me and waiting patiently. I put the pan in the microwave set the temperature and timer and turned and our eyes met. I always feel a spark inside me whenever our eyes meet. " Do you like cooking?" she asked I was quite taken aback cause she never started any conversation. "Yeah, it's like my therapy, you know" she raised her brow and nodded. She kept eye contact with me but didn't say anything I could feel myself getting hot so I decided to speak but her eyes moved to my hand I guess she was looking at my ring I guess," Isn't your college starting tomorrow ?", she looked back up. I nodded, "if you are not comfortable wearing the ring then you don't have to wear it".

" No one is going to question you," she said with gentleness in her tone. But I couldn't control my expression and I looked at her in disbelief as if the whole school won't know about the grand wedding, " the whole school and the country know about the wedding so it will make no difference in wearing them or taking them off" she opened her mouth to speak but the sound of the microwave stopped her. I went and pulled it out and set it aside to cool for a while. The smell made my mouth watery and I was sure Athena's mouth watered too because I saw the gulping through my side eyes. " You don't know that, maybe they don't", my face frowned what on earth was she speaking about, "well then I will have to wait for tomorrow" I handed her a bowl of mac and cheese.
