I stood there, shocked in the rain. Was it all too much? To fast for her? Did I push her too far, cross boundaries I didn't know where there? Was she scared? Just as scared as I was? Just as... Terrified...As I was?

Or did she make the wrong decision?

Did she realize, at the last second, I wasn't the right one for her after all.

Did she suddenly have a change of heart?

Why?

She ran so fast, so soon. Like she was scared... Of something. Scared of the kiss, the intimacy? Or scared of... Me? Was I the villain in her story? Did she still think I was working with the Neverseen? That I was double crossing her somehow?

Where had she gone? Would she head back to the lost cities? Was she too scared to face everyone after... Sophie? Would she try to find me again? Was she watching me now, completely invisible, watching me stand here, shoving my wet bangs out of my eyes?

Was she still angry? Mad? Confused?

Was I angry?

Well, I was definitely confused. I thought she trusted me again, I thought maybe she had feelings for me... I thought maybe... Was I just misreading the signs? Did I take things too far, when she had just started to trust me again? Did I just crack the only glimmer, the only spark, of trust we had begun to built, just so I could selfishly, finally, kiss her lips?

"BIANA!" I shouted into the rain. But she would not come, and I knew it. If she wanted to be here, she would have been here, standing in the rain, my lips pressed against her own. But saying her name was some sort of comfort blanket, so I called it again, "BIANA!"

Even though she would not answer. Because she was probably long gone by now.

Long gone.
