Chapter One~Her

I was falling for her. Hard.

Her bright captivating teal eyes seemed to draw me in with every stolen glance my way. I wanted to talk to her. To say something. But every time I drew closer to her, every time I considered saying a single word, I chickened out and walked away.

Linh had began to pick up on my 'odd' behavior, not that I've never liked a girl before, but none like Biana. Ever. I was obsessed with her. I listened to her music, read the books she read, memorized her schedule and purposely bumped into her in passing periods for each of her classes, even if that meant being on the other side of the school to my next class.

She was incredible. In every single way. She was unlike any girl I'd ever seen. Strong, brave, so insanely beautiful, kind, sweet, smart, she was everything. Everything... To Dex.

She was dating him after all.

"Tam, you can't keep obsessing over Biana! She's already dating Dex. You have to just let it go!" Linh sighed, placing her hand on my shoulder. I looked away from her. She wouldn't understand what it was like. The second I saw Biana, I knew. I knew she was the one. And if I didn't have her, I wouldn't have anyone.

"It's not that simple, Linh," I groaned, shoving my bangs out of my face. They really were annoying sometimes.

"I know," She whispered.

"No. No, you don't know. You don't understand what it's like. And you never will," I said harshly. Linh's hand retracked from my shoulder and I immediately felt terrible.

"I mean-I didn't mean it like that- I just..." I trailed off.

"No, no, it's fine," She said softly, getting up to leave the room, "I know this is hard for you, Tam. But you have to understand. Biana's not the only girl in the world. I care for you Tam, a lot. Stop trying to push me away."

Then she shut the door behind me, leaving me alone with my thoughts. My tormenting thoughts, always running in constant loops, forever stuck on Biana.
