I was on my knees, staring up at a green door. I scrambled back, terrified that the door would open and slam right in face. But thankfully, it didn't. I looked around, and quickly noticed the ever gray skies and tall city buildings.
The rain was pouring and drenching my clothes in water, thousands of humans were walking the streets, all holding identical black umbrellas. They looked... So tired. I immediately wanted to breath some life into their sad, gloomy, features. But I didn't have time to worry about that right now, because suddenly I heard the click of a lock.
That green door was opening.
I spun around on my heel, frozen in terror. What would the humans do if they saw me? Would I even understand their language or-
The door was yanked open with a start and I stood, in complete shock as a handsome boy with sliver-tipped bangs stood in the doorframe.
And for a moment everything was silent. Then Tam rushed toward me, and enveloped me in a hug. He held the back of my hair with his hand and pressed his face into my the crook of my neck, hard enough that I could feel his breath tickle my skin.
I wanted to cry, to sink into his arms, to tell him, finally, how much I loved him. Rain continued to pour, drenching my neatly curled hair and making my mascara run.
Then I noticed it.
A neverseen cloak, with that ugly white eye on each of the sleeves.
And Tam was wearing it.
