*Timeskip Summer Break lol*

Aether POV:

He stared out the window next to his seat. It was sunny outside, each blade of grass illuminated by the morning dew reflecting the Sun's light. Dandelions bobbed their heads in the slight breeze, and Windwheel Asters turned in the direction of the wind. As they drove across the bridge over Cider Lake, the sounds of pigeons filled the air. Aether would have  enjoyed the peaceful scenery if he didn't know why they were driving at such an early hour. He and Lumine were leaving. To Inazuma. And they wouldn't see Paimon again until December, for the week they got off for New Year(they don't have Christmas or Thanksgiving). He looked beside him at Paimon, who was driving. Because her legs couldn't reach the pedals, she had Wagnar raise the pedals so they were right below her feet, enabling her to drive. The fairy's eyes were misted with tears. He knew that Paimon didn't want to send them to a different school, but things had gotten out of hand last year, with Pallad and the bullies and all.
"You two still have the map that I gave both of you, right? Follow exactly what it says, don't stray even a little bit from it, even if you see a mochi shop," Paimon said sternly, sniffling a bit.
"Okay," Lumine said from the backseat. She was reading a book, and her usual bright gold eyes were dull. Paimon had practically raised both of them after Hinshi and Leo, their parents, died in a Fatui attack when they were 8. It was hard for each of them to let go, even for a bit.
"Paimon, we'd be fine if we continued to go to Saiaku-" Aether began.
"No," Paimon snapped. "I know what happens there every day. I should have brought the idea of sending you guys to Michita Academy earlier, but I didn't want us to be seperated..." Paimon trailed off.
Aether sighed. Once Paimon made up her mind, there was no changing it.

Lumine hauled their suitcases out of the trunk of the car, while Paimon carefully explained every twist and turn to Mitchita Academy. We're really going for real. What if the kids there are just as mean? Then we won't have anywhere to run to, since Michita has all of it's students in dorms. He checked the watch that Paimon had given him yesterday as a parting gift. 6:01. The flights at 6:30. 13 hours on a plane, can't wait, he thought, trying to shoulder away pictures of Paimon all alone in the house.
"Okay, grab your suitcase and lets go. Better early than late," Paimon said, putting her hands on her hips. Aether grabbed his suitcase from Lumine and followed the floating fairy.
It took them around 10 minutes to get to their part of the airport, which meant they still had a little under 20 minutes.
"Paimon, are you really sure about this?" Lumine asked anxiously, fidgeting with the corner of her blue hoodie.
"Yes," Paimon said firmly.
"But we won't be able to communicate, since you can't use a phone!" Touch-screens wouldn't work for fairies like Paimon. The only reason why she could use a computer was because a mouse would respond to her touch.
"I'll send emails!" Paimon said cheerfully. "Anyways, let's not spend our last moments seeing each other in person like this! Come on, what classes are you two planning to take?"
"Uhm, well, I don't really know what classes they offer," Aether said, scratching his head.
"Well then, what classes are you HOPING they offer?" Paimon asked.
"Uhhhh, maybe Culinary?"
"Great! And Lumine, you should consider that class, too. You really need to stop exploding the stove every time you touch it," Paimon joked.
"Hey, it's not THAT bad," Lumine protested.
"Yes it is," Aether mumbled, stifling laughter. Lumine whacked him with her book while Paimon laughed. They kept on joking around while the section filled with more people.

"Flight 337, please board your plane at this time," a voice rang. It was 6:30.
"You behave yourselves, alright? Aether, make sure Lumine doesn't get into fights every two seconds, and Lumine, you stand up for Aether if he ever gets picked on, alright?" Paimon said sternly. Then the fairy sniffled and embraced both of them in a hug. "See you for New Years! And I'll buy you some souvenirs from the Windblume Festival for when you get back!"
The twins smiled and the three did a group hug.
"Okay, now go before the plane leaves without you!" Paimon said, shoving them towards the walkway to the plane.
"Bye, Paimon, we'll miss you!" Lumine yelled, running ahead of Aether. His sister probably could be a track star if she wanted to.

"Okay, what are our seat numbers?" Aether mumbled, taking out his ticket from his pocket. "Mines 14B. You?"
"14A. We're right next to each other! But I get window seat," Lumine said, sticking her tongue out. Aether stuck his tongue back at her.
After a bunch of  shoving, the two finally got their suitcases up into the compartment above their heads(Aether did most of it, Lumine was a bit too short). He plopped down into his seat next to Lumine, and looked to the people on his left. A pale-blue haired girl was helping a shorter, brown-haired girl put her suitcase up into the compartment, while a boy with an interesting hairdo sat in the window seat, looking at his phone.  I'l
"Thanks, Eula! I'll treat you to dinner when we get to Inazuma!" the shorter girl said cheerfully.
"A free meal? No, vengeance will be mine!" Eula huffed, flipping her short blue hair. The brunette giggled, like she was used to it. "Hey, uhm, Albedo, are you alive?" the girl questioned.
"What? Oh, yes, of course I am. Why would you ask such a thing, Amber?" Albedo responded, snapping upright.
"Maybe because you haven't blinked in, like, 5 minutes," Eula grumbled.
Aether nearly snorted as he watched the two bicker like siblings, while Amber pulled out a book, like she was used to the bickering. He turned to look at Lumine, who had somehow fallen asleep in less than 10 minutes. He still remember that one time where she didn't sleep for 5 consecutive days back in 7th grade. By the end of day 5, Lumine had looked like a walking zombie and Paimon had been worried sick. Paimon...I wonder how she's doing right now? I hope she isn't too lonely. And it looks like seat 14c is empty. Paimon probably knew that we wouldn't want to sit next to random people on a plane by ourselves, he thought, smiling at the thought of the little fairy. I'll have to remember to bring her some Sakura Mochi. She's always wanted to try it, but could never find a store that sold them. And it was one of the few things she couldn't cook.

A couple hours later, and Aether was starting to wonder how long they would be airborne. That girl-Amber-said she would treat Eula to dinner, which means some time during the night. He sighed. Lumine had woken up and was playing online Genius Invocation. He checked the time on his phone. It was around 3 PM. That meant they'd been in the plane for roughly 8 hours now. Probably another 5 more to go. The plane was filled with noisy chatter; Eula and Albedo were still arguing, while Amber was still reading a book, totally ignoring the fact that her two friends were basically at each other's throats. And it was funny to watch Eula and Albedo argue, especially since the former towered over the latter. He pulled out Legends of the Shattered Halberd, Volume III and started re-reading it for the 4th time. And that's how spent the rest of the 5 hour trip, reading a book while listening to his sister curse under her breath every time she lost a game of Genius Invocation.

I finally finished another chapter lmao. Sorry if it's kinda boring, I wanted to put the plane trip to Inazuma in here, so yeah, here it is. Also, Albedo is a bit OOC, but he mostly only harbors a great "hatred" towards Eula. And no, in here he isn't around 500 years old. And neither are Lumine and Aether 500+.
